Data acquisition thread.....

Help Support Ducati Forum:

to further elaborate,
I was planning to use the following for my V4:

for the dash I was planning on the PZ Racing PA601 module. I don't have the GPS from the factory. I don't want to use the thing for data, I just want the lap timer in the display.
For video and data, I was planning on using an Insta360 on the seat cowl and AIM sensors with the new ECULog --> Acc2 with brake and throttle and suspension. Not sure wich software, all thought telemetry overlay looks promising.

Anyone with real life experience here on this one?
Thanks

I have the ECULog on my R but not with any suspension sensors. Fits into the tail unit and gives brake data, etc. It works fine and the software is good. The advantage of the new one that is coming out soon is the built-in GPS and also the wireless connection, which opens it up to using the app mentioned in this thread and of course makes it easier to grab data. I haven’t checked the size of it but it looks very neat.

The 2024 and lesser MY Panigale bikes have brake lever pressure and pressure at the caliper as values you can read on the canbus. I presume both of these values come from the ABS unit.

Hey everyone!
I recently bought a 2024 v4s with GPS module (DDA?) installed. Unfortunately the guy who sold it didn't have the usb dongle, so I started looking for infos online and found this thread.
What I'm looking for is the possibility to see lap times on dashboard (which I already have) and to download data (the more channels the better) in between sessions (I'll use this v4s for racing) in order to review everything with my team (can't do that atm).
What's the best solution? I rather not get the solo 2 dl cause I already got the lap time on Ducati's dashboard but I'm open to replace it with an all-in-one solution (i2m?). I read that some people have the EVO4(?), is it worth it?
Sorry for the long text but I come from an aprilia and it had everything "included" 😂
Thanks!
Michele

You should be able to tell if you have DDA installed as it would show in the menu options. The software isn't great but it provides some reasonable data. I would guess you could use any USB stick in there and the software should format it suitably when it recognises a new USB stick but that is just a guess.

I do but based on what I found online it doesn't fulfill my needs. I also found a sample file online and it has very basic features (one thing I like to do is compare laps based on distance and not just lap time).

AIM is decent for that and the software is quite good. They have the new one coming out that I mentioned earlier in the thread. You can connect to it wirelessly and so use a third-party app to visually compare laps. You don't get a screen unless you are using the Solo 2 of course and you certainly can't get it integrated with the Ducati's dash. You could leave the DDA in place so you get an indication on your screen though.

I've no idea about i2M stuff so I can't help you there.

The ideal would be a replacement dash but I'm not sure if there's anything out there for this without going crazy.

I like I2M because of the dash. Any AIM product is just a second device in the cockpit.

I know I2M works fine with 2019 models, not sure about 2024, need to ask them

I2M does not work great with Ducati V4 as I have said multiple times - it disrupts the menu navigation drastically does not keep setting changes after being turned off. Works great on a R21 tho

I used a CHROME PRO 2 on a 19 V4R

Sorry for the dumb question but R21 stands for...? 😓

i had i2m chrome on my R1 2016
the dashboard is very complete also with only the GPS antenna and without extra sensors because it read every information that run on can bus

after download data on pc you can see temperature, trottle position, fuel level, water temperature, TC data, gps speed, front and rear speed inclination angle etc... everything run on can bus
it is very complete

Here you have some MOTEC screenshots
I setup the workflow page like this, but you could change it at your will
