Daytona Bike Week anyone?

Anyone planning on attending Bike Week in Daytona Florida this year ? its about 50/49 Street bike and Sport Bike and 1% Ducati so you'll definitely stand out in the crowd! Id like to meet up with some Ducati Folks if anyone is coming!! Lets start planning now. Friday March 8 - March 17th.
 
went last year for the first time, a really nice ducati dealer is located at the end of main street.

To be honest I had much more fun at the "black bikers week" (that's what the local african american riders call it)on the other side of town, lots of cool bikes, and neat people to talk to, higher percentage of sportbikes there too.

Not sure I'm going this year.

I'll be there- haven't missed many over the past 10 years. Last year's supercross race was epic- I'm still trying to get all of the rain and mud out of my clothes. I haven't brought my bike down the last couple of years, so I may have to change that. This would be my first year on a duc, so I'll be looking forward to seeing where all of the italians hang out

I will be there just not sure which weekend? Haven't decided if I'll be on the cbr1000rr or the 1198 but I'll be there. We got drown last year with rain! I hope it's better weather this time.
 
Use to go every year but have not since 2011, there is really not much going on anymore unless you never been there and just must see it or enjoy goint 20mph up and down the Speedway blvd in heavy traffic or sit at main street with thousands of Harleys around you.

There use to be lot's of roadracing in the speedway + supercorss + the Ducati Island but no more. They added the dirt track racing but that's about it.

Every little piss manufacturer has a spot there, just Ducati decided not to be present any longer. It was great on the Island, bike contest, sound contest ect. ect. ect. lot's of people, lot's of bike and lot's of things to look at.

Record sales in the USA but no Ducati Island at Bike Week Daytona now for the last 2 years.............. shame on you Ducati North America, Daytona is one of the few places with great weather in March and you should give your customers something in return after a long cold winter.......................................
 
I agree shifty, where you at ducati?

Also, if you come in a bit north and ride down A1A it's not so bad. Just find some parking.

Pretty interesting cultures down there no matter what bike you like.

I've gone past few years, will probably go again this year.

I hope it's cool out. I certainly DON'T want to be sitting in miles of stop & go on this 1199.

Some nice riding over from west coast through rural highways...
 
By march we should all have our "heat issues" resolved so maybe traffic won't be such of an issue! I say lets plan a weekend and all meet up. I'm in the Jacksonville/st Augustine area..... We can start our own Ducati events! :)
 
Count me in for a Panigale group ride. I will be going to allot of the events for Bike Week like the Daytona 200 & Supercross.
 
Well I am up for anything that is interesting:), keep me posted.
Last year I stayed in the Deland area for a few days and only made it to the Speedway for a short afternoon while getting hit by major rain, was not fun.

We did take a ride to Mellilimoto in Ocala and he had a little event going, that was fun.

Just a bump to see if we can catch any other floridians or surrounding states who wanna catch up at bike week this year!
 
The Ducati Demo Truck was present last year from tuesday though to the end of the second weekend at the Daytona Ducati/BMW dealership. That may be a possible planed destination for a ride if they return again this year.
 
I used to live right off mainstreet by Froggy's and before that I lived in Palm Coast. Bike week is pretty fun despite all the traffic. People watching and seeing all the bikes is what I liked most. Who knows when the next time I'll be back there will be but I'm sure I will.
