I already explained this, but IRC is only available off duty... I shouldn't even be on right now.

We started another channel called #1199Ducati where you are kick banned every time you try to join.

If it's that big of a deal, post up when you're going to be looking to get in there, .....

pulling that heat shield as soon as the bike arrives...looks like crap

if anyone has a reg full termi carbon shield; and you are a true HH; I will trade you straight up for it...otherwise, I will just wrap the .... out of it with header tape and be done with the whole topic.

figgn' thing looks like the regular cabon one melted and stretched down....

(can carbon be cut and re-glossed at the edges if needed?)

C'mon, it's not that bad! It doubles as serving dish for queso.

I wrapped mine with off-white and it is now black, raggedy and stringy! Works for me though. What heat?

which product did you use and did you seal it as well? what is the recommended replacement interval, if any?

I'm just going to chuck the carbon bit in the parts bin

and what mirrors are those in your avatar? did you have to change the bar ends?

Said, I'd take it...

Congratulations, Bob. Saw on Facebook page of the dealer that the other guy, DJ Nicky Romero, had his R delivered yesterday. Will get mine Saturday if everything is on it. Alarm, Termis, carbon licenseplate holder and higher Corse windscreen. If it is .... weather maybe Tuesday. I want to drive a couple of 100km the first day.

Thanks Patrick,

Very pleased. Also got 2 boxes with parts: std exhaust, original windscreen, DDA usb etc.. Sorting stuff out right now and studying the user manual:confused:

Did not drive today due to the Wx, will see tomorrow. Doesn't look to promising Saturday either, but hope the best for you! Drive carefully especially the first km's with those new tires...

Tip: Don't try and turn those mirrors with the high screen mounted as they will dig in and make scratches on it (already minor ones on mine before delivery...)...

Let us know how your delivery went.

See you around in NL,

Bob

I know about the mirrors and high screen. It's my second Panigale. Keep watching the smoke. What do you think of the new heat shield? It looks big comparing to the carbon one I had on my S.

I don't know, the dealer gave it to me and some solution (probably benzene or carbon tet with my luck) to soak it in. Had to let it dry about 24hrs before riding.

CRG arrows and rhinomoto bar ends.

Was told the smoke will be there up to 2000 km (when it's properly run in).

Regarding the new heat shield: I think it's too big and could have been easily been made to the "old" dimensions while double layered (see photo). Having said that: people that haven't seen the bike before don't seem to mind.... (ignorance is a bless).
