Gratz on the R's guys !
En nu weg met die sneeuw bagger pokke-ellende !
Patrick did the Dutch bikes came with the old style exhaust heatshield ?

They came with the ugly big stuff. The cf one is better although.

Gerard en Randy, wanneer halen jullie de beide R's op? Zaterdag? Het weer is de hele week waardeloos.

I'm actually liking the new carbon heat shield! Looks good....and oh yeah, you do realize that people complained constantly about the heat. So Ducati fixes the problem and go figure, they still complain. Some people just overlook the hundreds of "awesome" to complain about a heat shield!!!

I didn't care for the heat. I always wear leathers so it was no point. Will get the R this week.

Hi Bob and Patrick,

The other 2 Panigale 1199R that our Dealer Zaltbommel Received are ordered by Me and My son.
Think our delivery will take place end of next week.

They are installing some DP parts as we speak (short numberplate holder - the DP footpegs / shifter - Brembo HPK disks and Marchessini magnesium wheels)

I think its great that 4 of the 5 Ducati panigale R owers from (NL) Zaltbommel are active on this Forum (not Sure if Nicky Romero is active here).

Lots of Safe and happy Miles / Kilometers,

Gerard and Randy

Now this is what we call a giant first world problem. Have to wait a week for two Rs because the dealer is currently installing another 10 grand worth of extras on it, boo hoo. :D

Agree a Major World problem ;)

First bike is ready though.

Weather is not the best at the moment, lots of salt on the roads to counter ice forming.
Salt blowing in to these nice and beautiful bikes (Read all bikes) is an absolute No Go! Cant imagine all the nice aluminum parts and the shiny bits suffering from the damaging corrosion caused by the salt dust and particles.
When the weather is good and all the salt flushed away (next couple of week or so), we will pickup the bikes.

Dealer told us its a real pain to remove the black engine heat shield. They have to unscrew the complete rear seat (subframe) because it is interlocking behind the rear subframe.

Panigale1199R (Patrick) please let us know how she rides, and be carefull with the salt.

Don't know what's worse, the salt on the road, or everyone who is sitting on your bike while on the showroom floor.....

Congratulations ( inc Patrick ), bike looks great. Nice upgrades, I would be very interested in hearing how the Brembo HPK disks work out on the 1199, are you thinking Brembo T Rotors with the standard Brembo Monoblock calipers ? I have Brembo GP4-RX Calipers and Brembo HP rotors on my other bike and they are unreal.

I don't know if Brembo has T-drive rotors for the 1199 out yet (I could be wrong) - but I think they only have the HPK in 330mm so far. . well, at least a few weeks ago when I looked into it. If they were out - I'd love to try them out as well. .

I will pick up the bike Thursday. Nearly all roadsalt is washed away by the rains of last weekend and days after.

I guess the Internet wasn't so prevalent when the 1098/1198 came out. Was there this much hoopla when it was announced, any of you older (model wise :) ) Ducati riders?

- yup, there was plenty...but dated only back as far as the last few models, probably not much prior to 2005 (?)...just guessing.....but prior to that, the factory web site was still developing....it is way ahead these days for sure.....kind of finally caught up with itself, and tech times

does the 1199R get the retro fit for the new heat shield coming. or is it not getting the new replacement??
