Did ducati ditch 1199 aero wings for 2013

I had the high speed weave, but new rubber solved the problem. Good thing, too, because I tossed my wings.

It was just a personal thought. As a first time Duke sports bike owner, I could not believe Ducati would make something just for aesthetics! Much learned now am I! :D

Hmm don't recall seeing these in my box of extra goodies. Can some one post a pic of just those parts for those of us who are completely lost.

Even I managed to mount the kit, love the look, no thoughts of removing.

No idea if it makes any physical difference though, so look through as many pics as you can, its actually hard to spot them!

The dealer installed mine for delivery. However, after some debate in my garage, I removed them. Though they are a good fit for a snap on add on, it is still just that, an after thought add on. Looked to me like a really good place for dirt and water to collect and mar the headlamp fairing and I personally prefer the look without the winglets.

I recall Troy had taken credit for getting those added as he wanted a little more wind protecting at the grips

The good thing is they are easy to install and remove. Take your time and this can be done without scratching the paint.

I didn't get them with my 2013.. I was told they only come with the S... I have the Base 2013

i mounted them myself its not hard at all. just unscrew the fairing that says 1199 panigale you dont have to remove it. slide the tabs under rescrew. the top just snaps into place.

stealership will charge you if you dont ask them to put it on during initial setup.

Lmfao stealerships quote this a 1.5-2 hour job that's so sadddd they are ruining ownership experience and that's why I barter like crazy for the purchase ! Nonetheless I got someone to install it and they look 10x better then I thought the mean look matches the sound

I guess I just don't see it.... I need to see them next to each other one installed and one not... any pictures like that?

Sorry, they're not available with the base mode:(

Only the S and R;)

I too had the high speed weave whilst negotiating the German Autobahn, really didn't like it when the bike started to move around. Initially thought there was something wrong with it so I spoke to my dealer about it and he advised me to fit the Aero kit. Kit is now fitted (10 minute job)= massive improvement. I can now smash £100K supercars without looking like i'm riding drunk ;)

my track fairings are wider than stock (like with the wings mounted), haven't noticed any difference, like the slimmer look though...

For those of you who always wanted a comparison

Ok sooo I realized it's time to put the aero wings on when I let my boy take my bike around the block he rides a s1000rr. When he was coming back around the bike sounded loud sick mean hell terrifying compared to inline 4's but the nose looked sooooooo small..... It looks nice with no aero close up but ultimately the farther it gets the more it needs the aero kit! Look at this pic with the aero kit on the track

They look better than not having them IMHO, and it took me all of 7.5 min. to install them with hand tools. An ape can do this one handed and blindfolded.
