Guys, I know this is confusing with the conflicting information, but the reality is a lot of these decisions on what is coming with the bikes doesn't get made until the last minute in negotiation between Ducati North America and Italy. The definitive answer is now given, and we have the parts diagrams available for the anniversario model to confirm everything:

1) In the U.S. the Anniversario will be a 2017 MODEL, not a 2016 MODEL
2) The bike will be delivered with homologated stock exhaust so it is EPA compliant, and will come with the Akrapovic RACE slip-on exhaust in a separate box.
3) The Akra exhaust will come with the Ducati Performance Up-Map Key to engable the performance map

Does that also mean that there are now other MY17 1299 models?

No, 2016 1299 models are still being shipped at this point, there is no 2017 model information available other than the Anniversario model. As is typical with Ducati, any time a new bike comes out in August or later they're almost always a next model year bike.

Just went and talked to the NewPort Beach, CA Ducati dealership, supposedly every Ducati dealership is slotted 1 bike, extra bike will be given to non-official Ducati dealers, or other major Ducati dealership that have people putting orders.
They said bike will be available in October. Anyone heard anything else?

do the two slip-on exhaust match in surface finish color?

"2) The bike will be delivered with homologated stock exhaust so it is EPA compliant, and will come with the Akrapovic RACE slip-on exhaust in a separate box."

Does the Race slip-on match in finish color the homologated stock?
Thanks.

I placed my order with an email to my local dealer the moment I saw the promo for the Anniversario.

DO the two Akra exhaust slip-ons match in finish color?

Jarel, Does the Race slip-on match in finish color the homologated stock?
Thanks I appreciate your time in replying,

If you look at the press photos of the bike on the first post in this thread, that is what the slip ons look like. They do not look stock.

Ryfly, thanks for the reply I also noticed and that prompted my question. Perhaps for testing purposes only ti color available. My wish is for the remaining 499 the slip-on match the golden anniversario finish color. Thus asking Jarel who is associated with Dacati. If he does not know I'll ask TJ99 who I believe to be the product manager.

Personally, I think the bike looks kinda gay.

I hate the white. And Gold wheels? Really? Is it the 90's?

Naaahhh...
Do you remember the 2012 ads? :)

And what's PA's verdict?

Ok, so that dude is about as gay as it gets.

But at least the bike looks badass.

Cant say the same for this Anniv. model.

Oh those weren't even the worst photos. Motocorsa (the dealership that did that) does some wild stuff, hosts tons of trackdays and slangs Ducati's like crack in the 80's.

Even though the anniversary model looks great... you guys do know that if bike and car factory's launch special editions, anniversary models, limited editions etc.. a new model is coming up very soon.

My dealer (largest in Europe) confirmed that the new Pani is coming up very soon.

This Anniv model will be a 2017 model. So even if there is a new Panigale coming, it will be 2018 till we see it.

ducati coming up with new model in 2018 most likely just like 1199 lasted for 3 years before 1299 came out. also only 120 of anniversario coming here state side. means this bike is going to be very rare.

btw i think this is 2nd best looking ducati i've ever seen after sl.

_If_ the Anniv model is MY2017 and is presented now , why do you think they wouldn't present a MY2018 say Juli 2017? A dealer once tolde me that every bike produced after the summer break in Aug when they change the producation line is considered an MY of the year after.

I'm guessing though the new bike will even come sooner. All models rotate every 5 years now with an interim faceliift like the 1098(2007)/1198(2009) and 1199(2012)/1299(2015)) I'm betting at EICMA this year it will be announced or at least a teaser.

Jup, completely agree. The Anniv model is supposed to clean up the existing factory stock and/or the last planned productions before swopping the production line for the new model. Take it from me that we will see the fist previews of the new Pani somewhere by the end of the year.
