No worries at all that's why I hang out here. You're right that for someone who cares mainly about lap times and already has a modded 1299 it doesn't make sense. Make sure you get yours flashed to the EVO systems when they're made available, they're a lot better!

Anyway this is Ducati...we've got things in the pipeline for plenty of different tastes. So if the Anniversario doesn't do it for you, give it some time and I bet something else will ;):D:D:cool:

Well, this Anniversario is doing it for me; who knows what else?. TJ, you guys have to stop doing this because you're wrecking my finances! I just picked up the 15 R last month and now this....:(

The Anniversario and the R are pretty different, I have zero interest in this over my R.

TJ, can confirm the accessories that come with the Anniversario? The parts that I know come with are Akra pipes, light weight battery and charger, mirror block offs and plate holder plugs. The ones not sure on is cf ignition switch, cf rear shock, cf sprocket cover, cf heel guards, cf license plate, cf tank protector, aluminum tank plug, black handlebar weights and cf rear mudguard. Sorry for loaded question, hoping to place deposit tomorrow with local dealer and want to be prepared. Thanks!

I'm sorry, but this really isn't doing it for me. A couple bits of bling, some stickers and new software? Nope

Unless there's something ground breaking in the electronics they can only use in WSBK if it's on a production motorcycle, I just don't see the point.

It's all on the website: 1299 Panigale S Anniversario » Tech specs

In addition to the normal S equipment (carbon fibre front mudguard, for example) the Anniversario has: Laser-inscribed billet aluminum top triple clamp, 90th anniversary graphics, EVO traction and wheelie control, lithium-ion battery with included charger, carbon fibre heel guards, carbon fibre rear mudguard, carbon fibre shock cover, included Akrapovič titanium racing exhaust, billet aluminum mirror hole covers, license plate holder cover.

Thanks TJ. I see the "Racing Kit" is included, how about the Sport Pack? I see bike comes with cf heel guards and cf rear shock cover and those are included in the Sport Pack.

I have a general question about this bike.

I have high interest in it, and since this will be my first Ducati I don't really know the aftermarket or OEM upgrade that well as far as pricing goes.

But from reading the website, seems like this bike WOULD be a better value with all the upgrades that it comes with compare to a Modded 1299S to the same spec. Is that correct?

Unless people are getting 1299S at significant discount nowadays wouldn't this bike to be a better value for a newcomer like me where paying MSRP is just about the same as buying a 1299S and buying all the mod parts separately and have it installed?

I think that if you want a 1299, then this is probably the way to go; it's got a little exclusivity, a few updates/upgrades over the 1299S and looks great. I canceled MY order, because I already have a 1299S that I have set up to my liking and this new edition is just too similar to mine to make sense for ME. For someone looking to buy their first 1299, I think this is still a decent deal. My 2c.

Cost wise though, was it expensive to modify your 1299s to where it is now? Is it close to the MSRP of the anniversario edition?

A couple of grand for the Termi carbon slipons, $350 for the WSBK Sprint filter with P08 material, around $600 - $700 for the RapidBike race module.... $60 for the 14T front sprocket and miscellaneous other parts... I'm probably close to the MSRP for the anniversario version.

Will this Anniversario model be a model year 2016 or 2017? Kind of late in the year for a 2016, right?

If you (read: anybody) do not have a 1299S, and want a 1299S with an Akra exhaust, lighter battery, etc...then yes, this would be a viable (and likely less expensive) option.

My only point is that if someone already has a modded 1299S like I do, this bike isn't necessarily an upgrade (meaning performance upgrade). But yes, if you don't have a 1299S and want to get one and mod it, you could just as easily get this version and be done with it, you wouldn't have to spend extra money on mods.

Be a dream come true taking each of those around L.S, starting with the 851 and finishing with the Anniversario.

No my previous post listed everything.
