Red Swingline Stapler. Love it.

Oh and nice painting, too! Thanks for posting.

Working on 3 new paintings and have two finished ones set to pop. Stay tuned for more..... :)

Do you have any separation anxiety when you part ways with one of your artworks or do you just think about how that money is going to benefit you along your journey across the world?

Yeah, I have crazy separation anxiety. Even simple pieces can take days. And we're not talking days filled with glory. Until it's finished, a painting sucks. It's in your face, constantly reminding you of what you need to do, what isn't right, what needs to be corrected. It's ugly and angry, and honestly you feel like a failure during 99% of the process. But you nurture it, one color, one line, one stroke at a time, pushing through failure, resisting defeat. At some point near the end, the feeling of achievement eclipses the feeling of inadequacy. If the process isn't traumatizing, being apart from what you put so much into, is.

The flipside....I spent 25 years painting in solitude. Everything I finished was carefully tucked away in the darkness of my basement or attic. It's an amazing feeling, being able to browse through my own personal art gallery, but it's also a bit like a mausoleum. Being able to share a piece of artwork now with even one person who appreciates it (let alone an entire community), brings each painting alive.

Ok, new painting up on eBay set at .99 cents with no reserve. Painting to support my travels is my job now! Duration of the auction is 5 days, so it will get shipped (and may make it to its new home) prior to Christmas!

Ducati Panigale Painting | eBay

As per the description, while following in the footsteps of Van Gogh from Auvers to Paris to Arles, I was inspired to incorporate something from either his life or his artwork into my own painting. I was able to do both. In the background is the proverbial French countryside, with wheat under a darkened sky, the same setting Van Gogh painted in "Wheat Field with Crows," one of the last paintings he finished before he died. While visiting his final resting place in Auvers, I trimmed a few leaves of Ivory growing atop the cemetery plot where Vincent and his brother Theo are buried. I'm including one of these leaves that can either be attached to or displayed alongside the piece.

are you planning to do 1199R or SL sometime soon? (entire bike painting)

Currently working on 3 Rs, 1 SL and 3 "Normal" Panigales (that could be 899s or 1199s). None of the Rs are full bike paintings, nor is the SL. More to come, though. Won't be doing much riding until the UK thaws out, so all I'll be doing over the next several months is painting and writing. Hope to paint some historic Ducatis, too. I do want to do another full-SL as well, now that I have access to large canvases.

Best of luck to you, b9009b!

I've got three posters up for grabs now, too. I ordered six of the abstracts printed in poster size and this was the only one that survived shipping. It has a small crease in the top, so it's not perfect, but it's still pretty cool. 36" x 24"

The colors of the R posters (there are two of them) came out a bit over saturated and a little on the muddy side. Both are laminated. Great for a garage, not great for an office. 32" x 24"

$40 for the Abstract and the R.
$20 for just the R.
Buyer pays shipping.

Ho Ho Ho!

New R. Finished. 16 x 20 x 1.5". Acrylic on wood. Not sure if I want to sell this one....yet. But I'm open to attempts to convince me. :)

Your killing me D. Ugh. Amazing as always. Another to lose out on.

Don't give up yet! I've got 7 more in various stages of completion (one is a Desmosedici RR)....and these are just the ones I can see without swiveling my head too much. My life is a hell of canvases right now--and will be for quite some time.

Damn. This last R is my fav so far. Nice detail dude. Mannn if you ever make mine and is affordable, I'm buying it! I want it bigger in size though. Not sure what dimensions would be ideal but obviously cost will determine that decision lol. Don't bother starting until I get some figures thrown my way.

Looks like I missed out on the auction as well.
How much for either shipped to Oz - I'd have either on my wall very happily. Amazing.

This one hasn't gone up for auction yet.

Oz Shipping would be about $70 US.

If interested, shoot me a PM. Past paintings of this size have gone for $550-$2000. I've got a hell of a lot of time into this one and don't want to sell it, but will be heading back to Ireland to continue my journey soon and--believe it or not--traveling around Europe on the best f'in superbike ever made requires a not-so-insignificant financial commitment. ;)
