Yep, just keep telling yourself that and everything will be fine. And the 2-series is the only BMW worth having. The rest are just high powered 4000+ pound grocery getters.

What case are you resting?I rest my case
Wrong. The "shapeshifter" geometry changer is all hydraulic. Electronic suspension was banned in MotoGP.Please keep in mind that all teams who currently have ride height and anti-squatting devices are using electronic suspension control.
I made the mistake of showing @endodoc 's comments and was graced with this nonsense. I don't get why he's so butt hurt over "parts-bin" Ducatis? To each his own... The more Ducatis sold the better for all of us. Every year the bikes get faster and better. A Bayliss V2 will run circles around a chi-chi tricked out $57k Bayliss 1098R. Also guess how much a Bayliss 1098R will run you these days... Coincidence that it'll run you $21k??? [Cue X-Files theme music]Exactly. Big business in “knock offs”. This bike unfortunately solidifies the direction of the brand. The 1299SL was the pinnacle of Ducati’s “brand”. All the special pieces were made for that bike right down to a limited specific SL motor. The V4SL started the downward departure (borrowed wheels, forks, brake bits, and a shared, stock V4R motor for more money. The SP sunk further into the parts bin and gimmick bucket.
You have already solidified the fact that no matter what price tag you stick on a bike, that people will buy all of them. Then ....... stick to building top shelf bikes and be done with this entry level, no better than Chinese junk.
The new Bayliss bike is an insult to the original, an insult to the guys who bought the first “LIMITED” Troy Bayliss bike and an insult to the man himself “thanks for taking me from your flagship to this Motorcycle Mart Special”. WTF introduces two limited bikes for the same guy? Ducati has lost their GD mind.

Explain.Actually the bikes get worse and are not much faster. The "parts bin" is actually pretty legit and the factory is a complete failure with everything going back to the start of the 99's.
Some of the guys who own a 1299 just like to .... on any bike that’s not a 1299….
Absolutely correct. Swing for the fence or play co-ed softball but don't wear the same jerseys. BMW and Mercedes stats are fairly consistent and tell the story. 87% of people who buy or lease that stay in the brand trade up. So the guy who says "nope, I wanted the C300 didn't. No one wants a 300 or 2 series BMW or a Pathfinder. Given the choice of a free car, everyone's picking the high end. If your going to be a high end brand then be one. This whole " were going to put a Ducati in every garage cheapened the .... out of what was a premium brand or maybe it was never a premium brand. And JSR, personally I as would many others take a 999R any day over the 916 V4. Iconic bike with a lot of trick parts vs a stock showroom bike with a fancy paint job.To endo, mick, and maybe a couple others here, if a bike isn't $80k plus and/or have the letters SL or R at the end, it's automatically trash. That's just the way it is plain and simple.

Mick are you saying that the current V2 will perform better than the 1098R?
