Charlie and I are staying a local friends place in Robbinsville.

Jeff I'd stay away from Andrews, and Murphy. It may only be 39 miles away, but with the traffic it will take you 2 hours to make it to the Gap.

Thanks for the heads-up. Never stayed in Andrews so didn't know there was "traffic" in the mountains!

If we're not all staying together in the same place, I'll probably stay in Franklin and ride up to meet near the Gap or Robbinsville. It only takes me 45 min to get to the Gap resort, and man what an epic 45 minutes it is. I'll probably be coming in the Sunday or Monday the week of the meet, and I'll be enjoying the roads to the east as well.

Hey Jay, I would love to make this trip but I'm still recovering from the crash back in December. I also need to replace the Pani it was a total loss. If I can recover maybe i'll bring my other Duc to ride. Don

Don! What is going on man! You need to give us a detailed update on what is going on with you. I was trying to find out what is going on with you through Glen and I updated the forum with as much as I heard.

Hope you are doing better and recovering well!

Don! Where you been??? We've all been trying to get someone to give us updates since we heard about your crash.

You got a month and a half. Take your drugs. And if it's still hurtin', take some more. :) Would like to see you again up at the gap.

And don't worry about which Duc you'll be on.

We will miss you this year. I see a Fall rally in the future that hopefully you will be able to attend.

The next one will be posted early, so hotels are not so hard to come by.

OK, hadn't thought I was going to be able to get up there, but am now looking to head up Friday for an overnighter. Have to be back here Saturday night so it'll be in-n-out. Still looking for accommodations, but will figure it out. I figure I can be at the Gap or anywhere else closeby by lunch Friday. Someone shoot me some contact info so I can catch up with the group - look forward to meeting up!
 
Damn I am so sad. I was so planning on making this, and then things just got too critical and busy at work to take off. Really hope you put together another one later this year and I am able to make it then.

Ride safe, have fun and tear up the roads for me!

At the moment, looks like I'll be up there Friday through Sunday. Still deciding whether to leave late this afternoon (thurs) or at dawn tomrrow (fri). I know that DYL-Jim and I will be at the gap at some point friday (and Saturday). Just not sure exactly when. PM me your contact info and I'll let you know something later today/tomorrow morning.
 
Nice time at the Panigale At The Dragon II yesterday with Steve B and DYL-Jim.
Too bad some of you prima-donnas didn't/couldn't/wouldn't show. Had a good time. Even in the 39f ride temps across the Cherahola.
Some rain shower dodging but didn't get wet and managed to put up 180+ miles for the day.

Thanks, Charlie - enjoyed meeting you guys and hanging out while we hid from the passing rains. Appreciate your accommodating my short visit window and heading back over the Skyway with me on my leg home. Hope you all thawed out fast and get some dry roads to play on this weekend.
