Does anyone wear ear plugs while riding their 1199?
I got moulded noise plugs after the full system went on the R:cool:

I wear headphones and listen to tunes depending on my mood. Good times :D

I always wear earplugs. Already have bad tinnitus in my left ear from too much shooting over the past 32 years. You do not want to get that, there is no cure.

I have some moulded ones I got down at PI during MotoGP last year.

I wear ear plugs riding any bike with any helemt. More concerned with cutting down wind noise than anything else. Those who don't wear them should try them and see how much less fatigued you'll be after a ride.

definitely. I have a bunch of the squeezey ones I use for shooting so I use those. anything that knocks down the decibels....I'm not paying for custom molded plugs, lol. these cheapies make a big difference.

Same for me. I started wearing them about four years ago and regret I did not start sooner. I have custom moulded plugs now. They are no better for noise than $2.00 ear plugs, but they are a hell of a lot more comfortable. I also bought a Shoei GT Air helmet recently and it's by far the quietest helmet I have ever worn.

I use either the cheap foam ones that like others have mentioned, or my Shure SE315 headphones with the squishy foam ends. I didn't start wearing earplugs til I switched to the Bell Star Carbon from my much quieter Shoei RF. It's the wind noise, not the bike noise. My plugs actually don't cancel much of the bike noise anyway, as it should be! :)

I've worn squish foam ear plugs when I ride for nearly 30 years. I'm downright uncomfortable when I ride without!

i have custom headphone that if i dont play music they are great earplugs. Now i have the sena smh10r and wear the surefire ep4. with the extra noise cancellation closed cuts wind noise to a minimum (need that with the bell star helmet) and tunes are clear

gotta start wearing those earplug, late late late at night i wake up it's so quiet at night i can still hear the wind and motor noise from riding earlier in the day.

For all spirited riding... Wind noise not the bike can be deafening. Don't even here the bike at certain speeds without ear plugs. With them, I can hear most traffic but deadens the wind noise.

I use foam plugs for wind noise, but only when I wear my Suomy Spec 1r. Loudest helmet I've ever owned. And fits almost uncomfortably tight front to back. Great looking though. Ah, vanity.

Only started using earplugs after getting Pani and am loving it ! Can't believe how much easier it is to get 'in the zone' when evrything goes quiet and there is just you and the bike and that single point out front which is not being torn into a blur! That focus is like nothing else man! Lovin it!
