Engine oil

Does the engine oil km/miles value reset after the oil change ?My SFV4S annual service light came in Sept and I got it reset by dealer .The Bike had 9k kms on it.The oil change cycle on this bike is about 12k kms .Will the engine light come on again at 12k kms or it will add 12 k to 9k?I understand that the time service light will come on every 12 months

Change your oil every 3k miles or every 3 track days.
I would never in my mind imagine putting that many miles on an engine without new oil.
Dont listen to factory

Thanks…what about the light ?Will it come on at 12k kms /7500 miles or will it add 12k to the last service?I personally change the oil as you recommended…every 3k miles .

you have to manually have them shut off through a dealer

On the Panigale, it add. Probably the same on the SF.

Think you can check on the info section of the menu.

Thanks..they are essentially the same bikes…will update after I get the next oil change light
