It's a forum and everybody can post what they want, especially here as there are no moderators.
Absolutely agree that its your
1* (SWAT Reference) and you make that decision daily.
You did mention you do worry about hurting others. You describe the residents that live there and almost delight in tormenting them to the point where they call helicopters on you. I believe most of the detractors here are disagreeing with is your attitude towards riding hard on public roads, which I read in your comments as "I'm enjoying myself, so .... what everyone else thinks."
Other than the attacking posts, there are several just expressing words of caution. I'll justify mine. I enjoy cornering as much as the next guy, but my calculations include what type of damage I could cause. My favorite roads typically are slower corners that you can drag knee through from 40 mph-80 mph. If I low-side, go wide, or for whatever reason hit a car coming the other way at this speed, the likely outcome is that I will be dismembered/die, but likely they could be OK other than property damage.
If you're taking corners at 40 mph faster, at say 120 mph and have a mistake, the kinetic energy you and your bike imparts at impact is more than double that at 80 mph. Remember that velocity is squared in the calculation of kinetic energy, so going a little faster significantly raises impact energy.
Also going this much faster requires you to have less reaction time, while need more stopping/avoidance distance to avert disaster, it is a vicious cycle that does indeed put others more at risk the faster you go. Remember, it is someone else dad, mom, brother, sister, child, etc. that you are sharing those roads with. Based on the attitude you've expressed, it doesn't sound like you would "cut someone a break" because they were only thinking about themselves having fun on their toy if it was your loved one that got killed/maimed in such a scenario.
So my comment and message to you would be to be more considerate of others when you get your jollies. You say you go to the track a lot, which I will second the notion to keep the triple-digit speed for that environment. You also live so close to the Smoke Mountains I'm jealous. The route I gave you in another thread will allow you to go through a set of knee pucks in 1,000 miles of those roads at a pace of 40 mph - 80 mph, which is enough jollies for me on the street.
If you really want to experience
all you Pani can deliver, come down to Daytona this October and ride with Team Hammer at Daytona (
School - Team Hammer). Just about nowhere else will you attain these speeds. I've done it many times before and can't wait to see what the Pani can deliver. Here's a taste from my R1 last year:

And for those that said only inexperienced and low-skilled riders crash on the roads, Andrew Trevitt of Sport Bike Magazine was far from that. He was paralyzed when out testing tires for an article on Angeles Crest Highway by someone making an illegal U-turn in the middle of the canyons.
I wish you all safe riding and have fun!
