Evotech tail tidy

Wasn't there some thought that you needed it to stick out "a little" past the tail for a good look? The DP is good for that, no? I would like to see the evotech in a whole bike profile shot.

is that legal in vic? I'm pretty sure that will get you pulled over in nsw?

I would love to do that to my tri though. Looks sick. But i don't want to get pulled over on the first day.

This looks very similar to the one I made for my bike, however I didn't end up using it because it looks so empty where the original fender attaches. Can't tell from your pics but what did you do to cover up the hole where the stock fender goes?

just talked to competition werkes and they said that their fender eliminator should be ready in about 2 weeks in case anyone is still on the fence.

i have nothing to cover hole :(
hoping someone might know if there is anything available ??
it doesnt stand out that much, but i would like to cover it

and i rode for ten mins in the rain and when i took all this apart the dirty water got in under seat and pas seat to, so not water proof
when washing - take seat and rear cover off

Where do you fix your rego sticker? I was thinking of getting one of those tube things. I want it out of the way.

On my old R1 i had it in a plastic casing and screwed to the swing arm.

You have to do that with the R&G one too, seriously, if I can do it anyone can, is real simple and it's only the small wire for the small number plate light, the indicators all remain in tact, if you use the original ones of course.

I'm an qualified electronics engineer and have no problem with soldering the required connectors, but I'd prefer not to cut the original loom if at all possible. I'll have a look and see if I can find the mystery Ducati connectors, this way I can cut the bullets from the end of the wires on the new tail tidy and replace them with Ducati ones. It will then be a plug and play installation without cutting the original wiring loom. The Ducati connections are probably waterproof, but bullet connectors aren't, eventually they will corrode and cause problems. If you're happy cutting then cut the Ducati connectors off the end of the wires on the original tail tidy and solder them on the ends of the new tail tidy, having cut the bullets off. Use heat shrink to cover the solder joint. Don't use the bullets unless absolutely necessary. A soldering iron is only £10 and heat shrink costs nothing. Use the tip of the iron to make the heat shrink shrink, you don't need a heat gun.
