Evotech tail tidy

If you remove the original bracket you absolutely need a cover, as underneath the factory assembly is UGLY.

FYI, don't waste ## on the Ducati Performance tail tidy. tho it goes reasonably well, the attachment for the turn signals is spindly at best and they sag even after just being installed. I pulled it off and tossed it.

Tried to purchase with CC and with paypal. Emailed them two days ago. No reply, I'm suddenly not such a fan.

If I did my math right ebay is a lot more for this item. Also turns out it is in Florida so I have tax as well. I'm going to give them a few more days. HELL I don't have the bike anyway so why bitch lol

Yeah, definitely more $ on ebay. I ordered direct and didn't have any problems fwiw.
 
I went the mrmaloo32 route and orderd the zx10r bracket from ebay, rizoma turn signals and led license plate bolts. I needed to modify the bracket though as the holes didn't line up with screw holes the passenger pegs. I may need a little further modification as the plate is close to the rear hugger.

love the way it looks! I'm going to patch something together the cover the bare spot the stock bracket was in. I'm thinking about just cutting the plastic on the old tail and rebolting the remaining plactick back up to cover things. Not sure yet though.
 
Couldn't wait any longer for someone else to come out with one so I bought the Evotech today. That hunk of plastic on the back end has got to go.
 
I got rid of the turn signals and put led strip lights in the rear fairing by the back light. One on each side and it looks really good without those turn signals. Put a chrome cover over the plate and will work on a custom led lic plate light tomorrow. Ill post some pics later of the led strips. SPM

I cut mine but it still needs to be grinded down and sanded out. I wish there was a cover for it. Im going to grand and sand and reshape it so it will blend in with the back. I had to do the same thing with my bracket. I used the half holes at the back of it, worked great. SPM

Except for the heat shield with the full system...it's still gloss. Not a big fan of the difference between my heat shield and carbon rear hugger.

Yeah I noticed that too when riding a mate's bike and was a bit surprised. I am also not a massive fan of the matt carbon; I may go and get mine clearcoated
 
And on the topic of Tail tidies, While the Evo is bar far the best looking IMHO, I am really not a fan of cutting the original wires either. Guess I'm going to have to stick with stock and just remove for Trackdays.

Been a long day, Cut the tail peice off and sanded the cover and painted it. This will fill the hole very nice. Installed the led's for the turn signals and wire them in, They are very bright, I put 2 strips on each side to be sure. Tomorrow ill work on the lic plate light. Heres some pics I have about $55.00 in this project so far.

Nice work. I'd like to see a pic of the led strips you installed without the lights on. How do look inside the tail?
