Hello Everyone.

Not sure who here is aware that our Moderator and thread Master STW recently went down on his 1199 and suffered a broken arm and leg, and is now home after a short stay in hospital??

I do not know condition of the bike at this point but have been texting with him and he has stated he will get me the whole story so I will know what happened and when. This is what he posted on Facebook:

Argh............... Bad day for me.... I crashed my bike... No idea how bad it is.. But I am here in bed...Massively swollen ankle twisted wrist ..lots of pain.... Saturday night is not party night for me today.... I am so pissed at myself and to see my bike in the middle of the road on its side was very sad....

Thoughts are with you STW and as long as you are still breathing all other things will fall into place in time my friend! We are all thinking about you and wishing you the best buddy!

Really sorry to hear about you fall. Hope you get well soon. As far as the bike goes, don't sweat it, many on the forum have proven you can bring these bikes back to life after a crash.

Don't feel stupid about it either….remember "There are those that have, and those that will."

It's about getting back up! I will be cheering for that!

PS: check out the products "Traumeel" and "Wobenzyme"
They massively reduces inflammation and promotes repair and recovery of tissue...
....Seemed to work wonders on my past concussion

Get well soon STW I am glad you are OK. Sorry to hear about the accident. Don't worry about the bike they can be replaced/fixed.

screw the bike it is just metal , the most important thing is that you are alive and "well" , speed recovery. i would visit you if i was in your area, all the members that live near his area should visit him actually .
 
FYI-

I have been texting him all day and he will soon get on here and give us an update about things. He seems to be in good spirits despite the pain and damaged bike, which is thankfully at the shop he was just leaving when this all occurred. I will let Steve speak for himself about what went down. He did say he has received tons of messages from so many people that he is very gracious to all of them!

A little confused, is he banged up with twisted ankle or broken leg and arm?


Or all of the above.


Just hoping he isnt broken up too bad.
