still have a few left

Couple of questions. Do I remove the magnet from my stock oil drain bolt and insert into your one? If so how do I remove the magnet from my stock plug? Will this combo work when used with a Kraaitech adaptor? Also does anyone know if when using a magnetic plug and the Kraaitech adaptor, that any particles attracted to the plug do not get all stuck inside the threads of the adaptor as well as on the plug, which will make cleaning them out a PITA.

No, mine came with the magnet which is removable, the one on the stock one is not removable. If you want to use the adapter you might need one or two extra washers. Considering the force of the magnet And the other parts being non magnetic, it is safe to assume that all the magnetic particles stick with the magnet which you can remove for cleaning. For all remaining particles I would recommend what I always do, to pour a quart of fresh oil on the engine with the oil drain open.

Hi Phl,

I’m interested in a titanium oil drain plug bolt and oil filter cover screws, if either remains available.

I’ll send you a PM too, if that’s easier.

Cheers!

wow, haven't seen this thread ...

it has its own magnet.
fits the kraaitech with an extra washer or 2
once you remove the bolt, the old oil will flush out the particles. no different than what's happening now.
