Hey kensteele - mine happens to be sitting on top of the laser sensor but ultimately its the angle that counts - the thing works better when the recess that the LEDs sit in is directly aligned with your sight when you glance down. I noticed that if it is angled down a bit and you lose some of the brightness. I ordered one angled at 60 degrees from horizontal but I think 65 or may even 70 might be correct because I'm using an extra piece of Velcro to angle it more.
The final job I have to do is to find strong enough Velcro solution to sit the V1 under the nose of the bike, although I then miss the directional alerts. I do have a RAM mount but I'm not a big fan of the V1 sitting so obviously on the bike.
ok in about another month when i can start riding again, i will explore different angles for my device before i send it back to mark parnes to have it cut down in size. that's probably it, i can see mine but it's not nearly as bright as yours shown. radar/laser is not a huge deal here in ks but as you know, when you need it, you really need it to work well.
