I did a demo ride today and man my rear area got so hot. This might be a deal breaker for me. Also the oil window is .... got false neutrals also. I wanted this bike to be so great and came away kinda feeling let down. Handling was good. Loved the dash.

Was it a hot day? Were you in stop and go traffic?

Not to hot it was early (68-70)got up to 80 later. As for riding it was a combo hwy/ back roads with curves around 45 min ride. No stop and go.

First Ducati I have ever ridden and it was to the point it was getting painful.

Sounds about normal, I have had days where I am riding in 40c and was in traffic and I had to pull over and take a break before I became the BBQ.

Only one cure for it....Go faster:D

Coating and wrap will be negotiated with my dealer for sure. Any body else have this on there Ducati and does it cut down the heat so ya won't have toasted buns.

Yep ...Just sent my headers in to be Ceramic coated and will have the heat shields on the Termi's made of carbon fibre.

Cool cheers thanks.., you had it done to any other bike? Big dufference?

No This is the first and it was mainly because of the way it came through the fairing that made me look into it.

I have seen a Diavel with it done and they have a couple of headers done in Satin Black and Chrome at the shop......all of them looked great, I am not much of a chrome guy, so Satin was for me......you can just about get them in any colour you like and Xbox put up some pics early on.

Here is Satin B on a 848

Does it make a cooling difference as is advertised?

The only way I would be able to say would be to get the 996r done....but that wont happen.
Why dont you ring a few of the companies here in OZ and chat with them, then you can find out who is full of it:D

You got proof of that ???
Surely you only need to spend a few minutes thinking about it.

I don't have 'proof', but I have mine done (for aesthetics). I still roast my leg. It doesn't increase performance.
What else is left that would be an improvement?

If you put a thermal gun on it, it might actually be cooler. But noticeable to you? No. Absolutely not. See above.

Yeah, speak to the guys selling the product. They'd never lead you astray :)
