I decided to try switching the rear to P. The adhering link was so tight (bad threads?) that I took off, put in vise, gently heated, gingerly moved back and forth and after working it out about 1/2" in 30 minutes it snapped.
Can someone give me a center to center length of the link extended to the P position so I can machine a solid link or make one from hiem joints so that I can ride my bike until my new parts arrive?
