There is a slight difference in quality between the S and the standard you can feel it too especially when you ride them one after another.

Any panigale left anywhere here will be stolen, its like a Ferrari that's really easy to steal lol.
I got the 1299. Have excellent metzeler m7rr tires, the bike allows recalibration of the electronics to different tires. Servicing costs don't seem that bad but the insurance is just crazy.
I'd buy another 1299 if I could, increasingly stringent emission laws are going to ruin bikes.
