Help please thought the battery just needed a charge but now it’s clicking when I turn it on

thought my bike just needed to be jumped because none of the electronics were turning on. I charged the battery to the point the display would power up but now it makes a clicking noise that sounds like it’s coming from the battery and I don’t know what to do. Someone please help

You need to replace your battery. You can verify that by checking the voltage across the terminals. Or if you have a battery tender for whatever style battery you have lead acid or lithium.

Starters make that clicking sound when there isn’t enough battery power to turn the starter. No need to get to worried. 95% chance your battery is just dead.

Got a new battery and installed it yesterday. The display powered up but it still wouldn’t start. Now it wont even turn on but still has the red light at the top of the display blinking.

Hm, I can’t get the multi quote to work.

Jag, I’m not a not a Pani expert, but on general principle, a new battery and still ticking would usually mean a bad starter, or it may be so gone it won’t even tick any more. But if there is no turning over and no ticking, then who knows what could be wrong. I mean, I didn’t even know a Pani had physical fuses until you mentioned it. And I don’t know what kind of error codes gets thrown back if the starter does happens to be bad. the whole bike may have an emergency shut down until you put the diagnostic tool on it. It sounds like it is time for a diagnostic tool. Can the mechanics at the local bike shop reach the starter without scratching anything. (Just looking for a free method of diagnosing the problem.)

right on man...i'm just trying to brainstorm some to get OP some help. like you, i thought this was typical dead batt issue....now i think he blew something cycling it with under voltage condition.
