What the heck is everyone doing with stock exhaust after installing aftermarket?
Is there any value to them? I'm going to have quite a few oem parts that will be brand new.

Keeping it. You never know. Too many make the mistake of selling OEM parts early on just to recoup some cash from their upgrades but when the time comes (it very well may) then regret kicks in and you wish you never sold it. Some parts won't really matter. Other parts are good to keep.....just in case. I can't see myself selling my bike but if for any reason I had to, I'd prefer to put the stock exhaust back on it n sell my akrapovic separately. You won't make any money selling mods with the bike. There's zero value when it comes to selling the bike but you will always and forever be able to sell mods and get at least 2/3 of your money back.

Free for me. Charge it to my old jobs fedex account haha. It's the one thing I made sure to take with me on my way out. They're a fortune 10 company so they won't notice one additional charge here n there when they ship thousands of boxes as a company every single day lol ok fortune 11. :)

i keep all OEM parts for when it comes to resale you will get next to nothing for them, I recently sold a bike with over $6k worth of extras and was offered only $500 more than if i sold it as stock, so i stripped it and brought it back to stock and sold all the extras within a week and recouped 80% of my money.

I will admit it was a pain having to strip it back and basically took me a whole day but it was worth the $$$ in my back pocket

I alway keep me oem parts because if you crash you bike you take to the dealer they will put back on and you get the dealer to buy you some other cool .... with the insurance money or you fix it and sale it and put the money from the part toward a new bike

You insured your bike? I'm hunting for insurance now. I only got one quote with progressive and the rep made me laugh so damn hard. I wanted to pay for a 1 year policy outright.. No monthly payments. He quoted me and this is no BS 12,000$ lmfao. I just kept laughing after his quote and said buddy, I'm insuring a motorcycle not a Ferrari. Have to do some more shopping tomorrow. Not sure what the hell that quote was all about but there is no way it could be correct lol.

We're in the same state so I would direct you to Geico. I switched from Progressive and am paying about $54 a month on their 9-month payment plan. Full coverage with $250 deductibles.

You know what i'm thinking. I think he said 12,000 by mistake and meant 1200$ I honestly think he made an error in speech. I have no accidents on my record at all. Just 3 speeding violations in the past 3 years and that it. That's why i laughed. i think he was confused. I'm going to call tomorrow and get a new quote. i put it on speaker for the wife to hear as well and she was just jaw dropped. Def some miss communication there.

I live in cape canaveral fl and I got geico, I'm paying $89. For 4 bike full covered panigale,2012 Mv f4r,Ducati mts1200s and my wife Vespa gtx 250 all bike got $250 deductible

I was originally quoted between 12k and 18k a year to insure the bike in downtown SF.

needless to say, I hunted around and found an agent with state farm that did full coverage for far less than that. for what it's worth, I have a clean record, MSF endorsement and motorcycle license.

LMFAO OK guys, I swear on my life. i just called progressive again! Spoke with a different rep. Just for basic cover pip I guess is around 1000. When you add comprehensive and collision to the 2014 899 panigale it jumps to 8,000 for the year. He said they even had a package as high as 18,000. We were both laughing just now and he said he couldn't freaking believe it. I asked if it had anything to do with my driving record and that was a negative! This is insane! How you guys are getting full coverage under 100 a month is crazy. SMH lol
