LMFAO OK guys, I swear on my life. i just called progressive again! Spoke with a different rep. Just for basic cover pip I guess is around 1000. When you add comprehensive and collision to the 2014 899 panigale it jumps to 8,000 for the year. He said they even had a package as high as 18,000. We were both laughing just now and he said he couldn't freaking believe it. I asked if it had anything to do with my driving record and that was a negative! This is insane! How you guys are getting full coverage under 100 a month is crazy. SMH lol

State Farm dude. Cheapest on motorcycles of all the big ones.

Even more strange…my GSXR is like 72 a month….Bought the Panigale and called to set it up prior to, and it was cheaper…wtf… and the GSXR is seven years old.

I called state farm. apparently jake from state farm is not up today at 2am in the morning like the commercial lol.

AAA Insurance. 100/300/50 coverage with only $100 deductible, unlimited miles motorcycle towing and 100 mile car towing. Yes I get car towing with my motorcycle insurance. $850 for 12 months. Best of all....they provide track day coverage as long as it's untimed events.

I had state farm before and while they were still pretty cheap, my limitations were less (25/50/25) 500 deductible and no track day coverage. Was 480 - 6months. Needless to say, state farm had to go.

My 2010 daytona 675SE was also the same price with state farm when I got my panigale last year so yea. 3yr old bike and half the price n yet the price for coverage was the same. 10yrs of riding and no tickets. .

i keep all OEM parts for when it comes to resale you will get next to nothing for them, I recently sold a bike with over $6k worth of extras and was offered only $500 more than if i sold it as stock, so i stripped it and brought it back to stock and sold all the extras within a week and recouped 80% of my money.

I will admit it was a pain having to strip it back and basically took me a whole day but it was worth the $$$ in my back pocket

I totally agree.
That's why I've kept mine.

I alway keep me oem parts because if you crash you bike you take to the dealer they will put back on and you get the dealer to buy you some other cool .... with the insurance money or you fix it and sale it and put the money from the part toward a new bike

That's a good point;)

What the heck is everyone doing with stock exhaust after installing aftermarket?
Is there any value to them? I'm going to have quite a few oem parts that will be brand new.

It helps to have them on hand in case the authorities change the laws on you.
If for example they clamp down on motorcycles because of noise, then you'll be looking to put the original stock exhaust back on. to get them off your back.
It costs nothing to store it, and it doesn't take up much room as it all goes back into the box the Termi's came in.

Riders - 250/500/100 - 2013 Panigale and 2013 BMW GS - $734 a year. I had Geico before that and they weren't much more. Maybe a couple hundred bucks. I think the large variability in quotes is likely based on driving record, age and marital status more than anything. Run out and marry somebody real quick. That dropped my insurance a ton. :)

lol. Need a mail order bride here.

lol..it's a double edged sword though. Sure you can be the guy that can say "look how much I just saved on my motorcycle insurance", but then you have to try to explain things like carbon fiber doodads, titanium exhausts and why you need a new seat when you haven't even passed the break in period yet. You may even have to buy a vacuum cleaner, toaster, sewing machine, fancy blender, etc. as a reciprocal present if you want new leathers, etc. On second thought, it's prob cheaper and definitely less hassle to just suck it up and pay the higher insurance. :)

Right. Because nothing informs your wife or gf that "I love you and want to be with you" better than "Here's a new vacuum cleaner so you can clean house while I go ride."

Now I'm beginning to understand why some of you may need to resort to mail order brides. ;)

661$ full coverage for 6 month policy. Your information was correct. I just contacted my local statefarm company. took her a few hours to get back to me but that price sounds correct. Geico tried getting me for 2 grand on a year SMH. Again Thanks NOLA and thanks to everyone on this site. So many helpful people here. It's pretty amazing.

My wife has her toy ( convertible Z4) and now Daddy is getting his toy. Believe it or not the vacuum would be for me lol. I do the cleaning in our house. Guess that makes me the woman lol.

I got $672/year for 50/100/50 full coverage through Statefarm. I've also had two tickets in the past two years

Truck and R1 are on the same policy.

State Farm has the best rates but they do not pay medical in case you get injured. If you hurt someone else they will pay their medical but not the person riding the bike. That is extra.
