My sympathies to you Antihero. I wish her a speedy recovery. I think the blurry erratic photos sum up the feelings about the event. Too many people have no respect for other's properties.

that sucks. feel your pain. some people just have no integrity or respect for others.

Looks like there was no other vehicles around/close to your bike at the time you came out. How do you hit your bike when it is wide open unless intentional...

Hope the repair isnt too bad and maybe you can get some aftermarket parts to replace factory.

This is my poor baby after a woman blew a stop sign while texting right into the main road I was traveling on. I landed on the hood of her car and she tried to drive off. Bike had $15,000 worth of damage. I had hurt neck, back and broken pelvic bone. 7 months later and I am still in pain 5/10 depending on how much activity I do. Thank god it was a busy street and there were like 50 witnesses with smartphone cameras otherwise she would have probably kept driving after I rolled off her hood.

that girl should also be charged with criminal charges since she tried to drive away and using cell phone while driving.

Hope she got that under police record and glad that you are doing little better.

Damn, that sucks.

I had someone do the same thing to another bike I owned and they were honest enough to come inside the establishment I was at to inform me that they had just backed into my bike. Too bad the same didn't happen in your case.

Really sorry about hearing this, but the pictures just made my gut clench. So, many ass hats running around. Hopefully, something will come of your investigation.

unhappy to see this happen, trust you find the person who did it.

This sucks man... i feel for you. Karma will definitely catch up to the person that did this. This is what makes me wish motorcycles would be allowed to park on side walks. But i guess thats too third-worldish.

I've never had any issues parking up on sidewalks near a business. It is definitely safer than leaving the bike in the parking lot unless there is a blocked off spot dedicated for motorcycles.

More than the money aspect of it all, when I went out it was like seeing a loved one who'd been hit by a car lying in the street. I had to tell myself, "another few seconds on the ground won't do any more damage," while I took out my camera. But in reality I just wanted to get her back upright and make sure she was still alive.

Fired right up, btw. Had to bend the clutch lever back into place, but other than that (and the new angle of the clip-on), I was impressed with how the Pani stood up to whatever monstrosity knocked her down. There's a serious bend to the kickstand, which remained 'down' even while lying on the ground, so I'm guessing it functioned like a mini pole vault, which caused the clip on to bend so far. A high-side while parked, basically.

Note: if you ever have to pick up a Panigale, turn around so your butt is facing the tank. Grab the clip on with one hand and the tail section with the other and lift.

I have an extra clutch lever if you want

so sad to see this. and pisses me off. I backed up into my neighbors car a month ago early early morning and I left him a note and my information so I can compensate him. People are ....... wrong in this world and we wonder why a UFO doesnt come down to say hello

Sorry to hear this. Accidents happen but some people do not have any decency.

Woke up this morning, sun was shining, birds were chirping, then I remembered what happened last night and it's been gloomy ever since.

I'll check the lower triple clamp for damage--thanks, Phil.

1199r8--thanks for the offer. If my insurance company is slow to respond, I'll take you up on the clutch lever just to keep me riding until she's fixed up.

As minddecay points out, at least I wasn't on the bike when it happened. Get better soon, dude. I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle and the old lady kept driving, then parked....when I limped over to accosted her she hadn't even realized she'd run me down.

That sucks. Especially the car driver that booked from the scene.

Any function where alcohol and parallel parking is involved would not be a scenario I would have my Panigale.
