Manual says 17L (4.47 Gal) tank. 5L (1.32 Gal) remaining when low fuel warning light illuminates.
That leaves 12L (3.17 Gal) before the light.

Xbox mentioned poor economy on his in another thread here: http://ducati1199.com/ducati-1199/606-owners-manual-online.html

Maybe that is just Tricolore.
Can others chime in what their average fuel economy is stating and how many miles before the low fuel warning?

according to the computer I am averaging 7.4 l per 100km, on a 350 km ride yesterday I got 6.28 on a mixture of road types and keeping within the 6K rev limit for running in, generally the light warning comes on around after using 12 L

That is 31.8 mpg's under light use. That's not HORRIBLE.
I hope other chime in, especially those who are using the full RPM's.

I'm too lazy to do the math, how many KMs when the light comes on?

Internet Explorer and Google allow you to just type in the following to the search bar or address bar
7.4L/100km to mpg

Hit enter and it will do the math for you. I love technology. Your web browser has a built in converter.

I'm on holiday and only limited to an iPad....doing math involves "work" :D .

I'm in Canada, not interested in mpg as it means nothing to me. I like kms per litre.

13.5km/l according to Unit Conversions .

So 230~ kms on a 17L tank.

Seems like few want to discuss fuel economy.
I was hoping to find if the 'map' update causes large increase in fuel consumption.

Yeah, fuel economy is not a Duc superbike strongpoint (which is not surprising). I was getting about 100 miles/tank (160km/tank) when the reserve light came on from my 1198, on a good day. It was an inconvenience, nothing more. It was however, encouraging to see the tank is bigger and not plastic on the 1199.

200km on a tank. Not being funny, but no chance. I did 180 miles on mine the other day (nothing about 6k revs) and filled it up twice !!!

180 miles = 288kms
my average is currentl 7.4 and lets say you give yourself some safety leaving 1l in the tank you would be good for 216kms

Thats good since on my 1198 my light comes on after a maximum of 140km then I have 70km until I run dry (don't ask how I know this) so to be safe a maximum of 180 - 200km a tank with the 1198 but it is 2 litres smaller.

My 998 light comes on at 190km and then I am good for about 40 more km easily and that tank is the same size as the Panigale.

Watchout

It all depends how you ride it. When I'm ringing its neck I won't be expecting 200kms but certainly would be on a road trip.

Well am I the first:eek: yes I ran out of Fuel after 34.6 kms on the trip for fuel, having had the first service done I was pushing it relatively hard
