How hot is TOO HOT?

I test rode a multi a few w/e's ago and got 107F. Today hit 109F and supposed to be hotter tomorrow. Hitting Infineion with Z2 tomorrow so been hydrating for last couple of days. Will be taking my cool vest tomorrow to see how that works under the leathers. You know soak it in water and as it dries its supposed to use body heat/energy to evaporate the water. I'll also keep it in ice as that helps cool the core as well.

I live in Menifee Ca and it will get up to 120. Hell, it was 104 two days ago. Even on the highway going about 80mph, my thighs roast. I found that if you sit with your butt all of the way towards the back of the seat, you burn less. It you ride with your nuts close to the tank, you are going to grille your ... and thighs.

That sounds appealing, a position so you burn less

Well here in Vegas its been 115 degs the past few days. I've only been riding to work and back which is 4 miles from my house. Riding home in the evenings its unreal. Riding to work I wear tennis shoes, jeans t-shirt and helmet. Riding after work with a jacket, gloves ECT... No freaking way!

Hit 109 here today. You guys ever try just dousing yourself with a large cup of water, throw on gear and get going? Instant air conditioning and if you ride for about 1/2 hour, just a little damp when you get there.

The high in Houston was 107 yesterday and I put 150 miles on my Ninja 1000. Getting ready to head out in about 30 minutes on the Ducati. Fortunately today is not supposed to be QUITE so brutal.

Similar story here in Austin, except I was on a Z1000. I see you, jjsC6, on rider forums :)

Call me lazy, but its damn hot to ride today where I'm at, 114F. It could be done, but just getting back from a road trip in my car with the family, the number of breakdowns on the road is very very high when its above 110F. I saw a Harley cyclist "jello" out after a stop on the road due to heat exhaustion. He was attempting to douse water on himself but too late :(

I will only ride with full leathers (for good reasons) and therefore call it quits once the temps climb north of 90
