I just got rid of throttle slop!

Hate to say it, but if something happens, where would you stand with the warranty if it's not a Ducati part and not fitted by Ducati?

Just sayin'

Takes 5 mins to remove before you go to the dealer. But having said that how could a couple of bits of plastic affect a warranty claim.

Now if you drill a hole in your piston skirt to lighten it and the engine blows up.....now that I could understand.

Just along the lines of throttle getting stuck, causes an accident, over revs etc. Might be hard to remove if you're parked up a tree?!

The kits I've seen for sale do have a disclaimer about this. I've ordered one............but food for thought, that's all

Yes you are right that would be different story

Just thinking if you went through a dealer and DP parts then at least you have some 'come back' if the proverbial hits the fan!

Does anyone know or heard of any friends/colleagues who have this and the throttle got stuck? ...

My dealer got rid of my throttle slack before delivery in 2012 (probably the DP kit) and I have not yet had any problems with it, only joy.

You can't control how someone installs the unit.

If you look at the parts, you will see it is physically impossible for the throttle to get stuck, but we have this Disclaimer in place to, you got it, to cover our ... since we can't control how it's installed. A 4 year old can insert the spacers properly - it's gaining access that require a little bit of work.

LOL - almost. Had to be ground off though.
Seems like .8 .9 mm in the circumference do the trick.

Money sent via paypal. Have put shipping address in paypal notes but will also send pm. Thanks for sorting it out.

I also bought the $27 ebay kit and have no complaints. Super detailed instructions and the results are sublime :D

Throttle Spacer Kit Ducati Panigale 899 1199 1299 w Detailed Color Instructions | eBay

+1. Installation was a snap, had great color directions and seemed like good product. Seller was cool too. Went for a ride yesterday and had no problems. Also, you will need the tri-wing bit for two of the screws. I found a bit set from Amazon for $7: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EDRC31K?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00
