After the hit-and-run accident, I just got another 1199s. I wish I knew the new model...

Still I like my new 1199s and had lots of troubles from 2012 Pani. :p

NEVER ever think this way. If so then you would ALWAYS be waiting for the next thing to come out and never have anything at all in your garage. We can all think these things to ourself - I will always hold off until the next model comes out, etc etc etc.

Love what ya have and trade up later if its THAT vital.

Trust me, I speak from good experience. :)

Yeah I know now:eek:
Not to mention all the problems with all the recalls and warranty claims and things falling off it while it was sitting outside of the local coffee shop:eek:

Come to think of it, maybe all the people stopping to look at it were really looking at all the bits sitting on the ground in a pile:(

If I'd known about all that before, I would never have bought the damn thing:rolleyes:

I say the same thing to my wife . I'm sure something better would have come along if I waited ......she doesn't seem to share the same humour

Riding around on the finest superbike platform in probably forever (aside from the mighty HP4 of course)....and you guys are regretting it because of a new model that hasn't even unveiled yet:confused:

I'll tell you what.....for the low price of $300 for my time I will take any and all 1199 donations off of your troubled hands. There will of course be added costs for fuel and food during my travels to said location:D

Ducati folk we are....

1299

Why wait?... I have had 2 1098's, and recently sold my 2013 1199...

Life is short, The key is to be riding today, ....

enjoy the memories you create today so you have them for tomorrow ...

and ....of course plan for the new 1299 or whatever keeps you striving for more in the awesome life of motorcycling!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard rumors that the 1299 is replacing the R model only and the base and S will stay as is... If this is true then won't the 1299 be around 30K?

yesssssssssssss we got out firt post. ok let me get my magic ball and will tell you how this thread is going to end.:D

I am with Gunny here. I just got back from a test ride after fitting my full Akra system. Halfway I stopped to check that nothing was falling off, (I left the fairings off so I could see the bolts and tighten later) and after all looked good I took off pretty briskly and as the front end lifted in second gear, all I thought was.......this thing has enough power for me....I do not need any new 1299. Think I will stick with what I have for a while.

:)
Now back to the garage to fit the fairings up. Polish it up and get ready for Sunday's ride.

I wonder where it will all end . IMO bikes don't need any more power until components can catch up to it .
Cush drives, chains, sprockets , chains . engine cases etc etc these things are going to suffer and wear prematurely . The increase in power my R makes with the piston cam and valve upgrade is quite impressive .
I have been riding it on the street through the break in period and to be honest I would not want a street bike with any more power .

Be satisfied! Don't regret that by any means.

It's the experience that matters not what you actually have...
