I'm sure Jay Leno will have one of them and ride it! Don't you remember his Y2k and the melting the front of a car incident [emoji85]
Seems like a lot of speculation quotes so far. Trauma said he saw $171,000 early this year, which is still almost $100,000 from €250,000.
I'm not arguing that it will be expensive and exclusive. I was simply saying I don't think it will be close to the mentioned €250,000 price tag.
ETA: I was also speaking in reference to stateside pricing. Last I checked a 1199R was around $40,000 in Australia, so there's no telling what the price difference might be on the Honda.
If someone wants to start a pool on what they think the Honda will be, I'm in.
Errrrrrrrrrr, just found this.........
Honda officially dismisses RCV213-S ?greenlight? | MCN
Unless things have changed..................?
Yup, will be going into its 8th year on this gen. The SP has been going for a couple of years now, which is the 1000rr with a few better components.
Although long over due, it is a great bike. After some mods, mine put down 181 WHP. Never felt a bike that could lull you sleep, but also take you as far as you like.
181 whp on a CBR? Extremely happy dyno.
Unless you have some engine work done.
This bike is of no interest to me. Make something in the 20-30k range that consumers can actually buy. Not some halo race replica costing 150k+.
Honda dissapoints once again!
Nah. Ecu sent in for flashing, full system, PCV tuned on dyno, velocity stacks, air filter, and that's about it...
Even still thats a very happy dyno.
I spend time on the 1000rr.net forum and with a full system + tune members get around 160whp.
Anyway just saying is all.
My 600rr was at 106 (same dyno) after a bunch of the same stuff done to it, so I guess it was in a better mood when I had the 1000rr done.
Fair enough mate. You in Calgary or Edmonton? What dyno was it?

Not sure what this is supposed to mean?
