I am quite sure many of you guys have run into the similar issue before on something like this. I have heard of using WD-40, Goo Gone, etc etc but have yet to tackle it with anything in fear of damaging the clear coat and paint at this point. This was the item which had center piece ripped off:

http://www.amazon.com/DUCATI-PANIGALE-Silver-Carbon-Protector/dp/B00HAM97NM

They sent me another piece free, which was kind, but first I need to remove all the old backing material before applying the new piece. Thought Id ask the membership what they have used in the past to TRULY remove this crap without doing any damage at all. Thoughts?

Thanks !

WD40 will dissolve the glue but not hurt the paint at all. I use it all the time.

Make sure to wipe it down with Isopropyl Alcohol when done before applying the new one.

LMAO !
I knew the first wise crack would be from you VAST!

I actually had the DP one on there before and dislike it. Wanted something to be truly "different" ya know man? So, THAT response was not entirely helpful but thank you!

Old DP's are totally ...., they put the wrong glue on it. New ones are better and you get them replaced under warranty. Got DP carbon look (satin finish), but it get's glossy spots now. So, DP: no, too expensive for it's quality.

Removal: First WD40, very good tip from leftcoast32.
Then use a nano polishing cleaner without abrasives.

Try Olive oil! I'm not kidding, it works as good as the WD40. Let me know after you try.
