Is Vandeamon made in China

You cant escape the Chinese manufacturing unless you throw all the bums from both sides of the aisle out. Since that ain't happening you have to pick and choose, besides if you got political and righteous over all your purchasing you'd be living in a cave eating road kill.

Have to say I am a bit pissed at Van Demon, their whole Schlick was AUS made by some down home regular guys, I was impressed with the vids, marketing etc which ALL led me to believe (like everyone else here) it was a genuine throw another shrimp on the barby true blue Aussie pipe.

.... you Van Demon you .... bags.

Now I dont care that its made in China, half of what we use, wear etc is made there or on a machine made in China, the quality of Chinese goods can range from world class finest to total ....- just like the US or anywhere. I object to blatant dishonestly in advertising, that includes by commission or omission.

As you say endo the quality looks great except for the details. I dislike the Van Demon laser cut logo and the first hint of maybe this is Chinese was from the carbon on the Akra underslung knock offs. For the price I was going to pull the pin on the wheelbarrows with a view to modding the cans but nah, Ill just wait for a set from an FE to turn up.

We’ll this is a classic case of “devils in the details”. I’m not going to stick up for Vandemon at this point however let’s consider the facts.

1 Did they actually state that the systems were made in house in AU? I found this on their website but it still teeters on ambiguity. “We” could simply mean, our partnered manufacturer in China

“We at Vandemon use a unique welding process that completely penetrates and makes for an ultrasonically perfect connection with a beautiful and consistent overlapping, fishbone appearance”

2 Did they mislead anyone? Again, hard to say. Exhaust system from AU isn’t the same as exhaust system made in AU, so again, ambiguity. The owners as I said came on this board and bolstered and defended their company but still never answered hard questions.

I think they did a good job of using an AU company to sell a Chinese product. They as far as I can tell didn’t lie to anyone because they never answered the question. Did they intentionally use an AU cloak to sell a Chinese product, absolutely, but did they actually do anything wrong.

Being misleading and allowing yourself to be misled are two different things. The price was a dead giveaway. Did you really not question that? They made sure to hide the Chinese connection on the product itself. There are no indicators alluding to the country of Mfg unless you know what to look for.

In retrospect, Vandemon isn’t doing anything a lot of other companies are doing. Is it BS? Yea I think so but as a consumer, I should bear some of the brunt of responsibility for being a ........

What about the distributors and resellers, did they know? Your not going to get a refund. Vandemon is just going to claim they never told you the system was made in house in AU and they walk. Enjoy

I’m loyal to Akra Termigioni and Storm. First time I see Storm exhaust on John Hopkins Rapido Ducati bike I said have to have it.this is something else 187CD2B2-1A5F-4393-954B-846B8194D7F6.jpeg

all stock exhausts on the panigale lineup 899 - V4 are made in china, except maybe the 959/1299 with theirs being made by REMUS - possibly also in china.

its misleading, therefore tricky. I dont like tricky.

if they had been straight up from the beginning and said made in China, fine. Whats worse is that it doesn't even look like they were designed by van demon.

Cleanly they thought they could sell more by bulshitting. You tell me what that says about someone

I believe you that’s why I remove them right away and place them on bottom of my metal dumpster
