Phl, what are your thoughts on this Vandemon thing?
Interesting story. Does not surprise me
Phl, what are your thoughts on this Vandemon thing?
So we've established these guys dont appear completely honest about where Vandemons originate or that they wont provide technical data when asked.
As as an Australian I am it pissed off because they elude to being made in Australia and that was the main reason I went with them.
Would Vandemon providing tech data or people providing dyno data that showed it was as good or slightly below say Akra data, would that change peoples minds? Or would it stil be 'cheap crap'for the bottom of the scrap heap?
Obviously all the big name exhausts are great, any made in China? What brand exhausts do people on a budget buy? (Mainly because the minister of war and finace lost her .... when a Ducati V2 magically appeared in the garage....ooops).
And that the bit that sells you and eludes that its made in AustraliaTBH I have no problem with Chinese made anything, provided you know what youre getting. US or Italian made means squat, you buy brand i.e trust, so you dont have to think about quality.
How's this for weasel words
"Manufacturer:
We at Vandemon use a unique welding process that completely penetrates and makes for an ultrasonically perfect connection with a beautiful and consistent overlapping, fishbone appearance."
or
"VANDEMON was born out of need for an exhaust system that stood out from the crowd, as well as enhance performance and sound without there being any restraints from compliance.
Bespoke craftsmanship along with high tech manufacturing processes bring you the best that money can buy.
At Vandemon we see automobiles as technological art, where the finishing touch can be a perfectly engineered exhaust made by craftsman befitting of MotoGP, WSBK and F1"

Yeah you are probably dead right. The wideband O2 is American that they use for Autotuning, the little logbox would probably be made in China, the head office is in Brisbane and they only just cracked the 2020-22 Panigale V2 ECU when I last spoke to them. Nothing is made in Australia anymore thanks to our government, I guess being able to go to ring Woolich "feels like" it's Australian!!!Hmmm, are you sure Woolich is AU. I'm thinking that log box could be Chinese and the Zeitronix box is made in the US. Is the software AU or is there a guy in India coding it?
Mate we dont make anything in Australia anymore, even when you speak to the Vandemon guys tey talk like they make it. Where in Australia are you? Theres this lot in Geelong who have fitted and dyno'd alot of vandemon exhaust | Motorcycle Shed GeelongI am Australian and have a Panigale V2 Bayliss Edition on order and thought I had found an actual Australian made exhaust. Now it makes sense when I rang dyno shops and they had never heard of them. At least Woolich Racing Software is Australian. I thought I had a good plan, aussie exhaust, aussie autotune software ECU flash, do it myself on my Italian Aussie tribute bike. BUGGER! MIVV is italian and has a high mount exhaust that twists and turns like an octopus. Maybe I will just get the Akrapovic slip on. Anyone know if the standard headers have 18mm wideband O2 sensor bungs for Woolich Autotune? I can always have them welded. But I was definately under the impression Van Demon was made in Australia, when I spoke to them I even mentioned finally an Aussie made exhaust to go with Woolich Racing Aussie ECU Flash to them and they didn't say anything otherwise. Omnia Racing has the Akrapovic slip on Ebay. The Arrow slip on sounds great on Youtube. All of the low mount exhausts are going to get hammered by road debris riding anyway.

No not at all. At the end of the day the whole world is all about priceDoes it matter what nationality makes an item if it works and is acceptable quality for what you want?
I am in Brisbane. Did you get your Van Demon dynoed? What method, Upmap, Woolich, etc etc.... and what sort of results did you get? I noticed that MIVV high mount only quotes a 1hp gain over stock! Hardly worth it. I just want to release the V2 sound.Mate we dont make anything in Australia anymore, even when you speak to the Vandemon guys tey talk like they make it. Where in Australia are you? Devils in the details. By nationality do you mean nationality of the individuals making the part, sourcing the material, running the front office? or are you referring to country of origin? If a Chinese guy is making watches at Rolex in Switzerland, I'm good. A swiss guy making watches in Shandong, not so much.Does it matter what nationality makes an item if it works and is acceptable quality for what you want?
Not dynod yet, if its just sound you want then Vandemon sound good, I've left the db killers in, its obnoxiously loud with them outI am in Brisbane. Did you get your Van Demon dynoed?
