SPJ - You are correct there are zero that emit it forward and yes planes using reverse thrust will stop but there is no thrust coming from the termi exhaust. The force of the air moving around the bike is and will be greater at speed than the exhaust leaving the can. It also allowed them to use less bends and pipes which saved them weight.

SPJ - It's an interesting thought. However, I would not discount the relative benefit of a rear facing exhaust. The P51 Mustang radiator, which hangs below the aircraft and is feed by a forward facing scoop. Heat exiting the radiator is aided by an articulated door. The design of the cooling system contributes zero drag to the aircraft, unlike previous designs. The heat imparted to the airstream by the radiator produces a small factor of thrust.

In other words, every little bit helps.

Decided to ditch the RG tank sliders since all it covers is a edge of the tank

I ordered these instead.. 5 sets of them :) so if anyone wants one let me know, it would save you plenty on shipping from Italy

What is the price?

heres the info I received when i bought the carbon cans

Termignoni introduces the new silencers for Ducati Panigale, made in carbon and titanium CUNB, the same used by the Termignoni Reparto Corse to realize the racing exhausts. Over the exclusive materials, that permits a lightweight of only 1,5 kg per silencer, another characteristic is given by the frontal exit of the gas, a solution that optimize the performance and the design. The silencers can fits on all Ducati Panigale models and are supplied with a dedicated air filter.

Have you had an update on your shipment? Mine should be here end of the week if I'm lucky. :)

It seems the Akro's weigh 3850 grams total for both, so the new Termis weigh 850 grams less!

I canceled my order. i paid on feb 1. vendor still didnt get them yet from andreani group but should be avail next week. I see motowheels has them for sale too!

Do you have any with the Ducati inlay in white, similar to the TriColore's coloring? These attach with double-sided tape?

you can use double sided tape but i use what R&G supplies with theres. the aquarium sealant.

and the lettering is above the clear so u can easily remove it and change it however you want

just got mine in! thanks zohsix01! CF quality on the guards look great and really matches all the DP matte carbon parts well.

My RG sliders are only available in gloss CF and looked kind of out of place with all the matte carbon piece I have.

It's not necessarily an issue of which end the exhaust exits.
I don't think the forward exiting exhaust of the new Termi's faces forward.
It should imagine it exist sideways.
And at 300 km/h I honestly don't think it would make much difference if it exited sideways or rearward.
We will see soon enough in that regard.

I thought that was all debunked as a theory on the P51, and the Laminar flow wings were accredited with the high performance.

Pretty much all the liquid cooled aircraft of that era were equipped with a similar radiator cooling/ducting design in one way or another.
The NA P51 just made the intake more prominent underneath which makes it stand out as a feature.
In a way it was more a product of form over function as that aircraft had a lot of internal room, which was also taken up by a larger fuel tank in that area.
They also needed an aircraft with longer range than was commonly available at the time as the war effectively progressed deeper into the heart of Germany from the bases in England. Hence the maximised fuel capacity.

I went totally the other direction and used this instead.
Glad I bought it, as I lowsided the bike a couple of months later.
The cover did its job perfectly. Tank remained unblemished, although the cover had a little crack at the bottom. Totally reusable, and after repainting using $60 spraycan repainting it looks like new.
