Lambda sensor connector removal

Hello, new member here.
I have a '19 Hypermotard 950 with an Arrow mid-pipe and Akrapovic mufflers.
I purchased the upmap and downloaded the tune. She is still running really rich. I reached out to Upmap and they instructed me to disconnect the 2 lambda sensors. I found the connector for the rear pipe in front of the battery but haven't found the other one. I figure it must be close. Any advice?
Regards,
Curt

Still rich? Shouldn't it have been running lean before the mods?

Sorry, I don't have a motard so I can't answer the location question. Ducati Omaha might have a parts diagram that shows approximately where it is located.

Rich after the replacement of the center pipe. It ran fairly well before but was very cold natured and it didn't sound as aggressive. With the new tune and centerpiece she backfires when I back off the throttle.

The backfire when off throttle is probably due to the SAI causing explosions in your pipe unless you or your flash removed the SAI. I don't believe the Upmaps kill the SAI, so that is probably your issue.

Good to know. I just just find that plug and capped it with a termination connector. I'll report back if that takes care of the issue.

What is the SAI? I'm a bit new to this.

Secondary Air Injection system. The SAI injects air directly into your exhaust (pipes, actually) on decel to burn off any fuel that didn't burn up in the cylinders (to keep the Earth clean). The super hot catalytic converters eat up the fuel and extra air without you noticing, but when you add an exhaust and remove the CATs then your new exhaust has to handle the fuel and extra air, which it does (causing pops). Most race ECU flashes turn off the SAI to keep the excess air from causing explosions in your pipe (and making things hotter). Some people go a step further and remove the SAI system (weight savings) and install a block-off plate. My wife's R3 has the SAI removed and a block-off plate, while the flash stops the bike from trying to activate the SAI (or throw an error). My XDiavel has an Upmap and still pops from the SAI. My Ducati cafe racer has a Rexxer flash and the SAI is killed (but still installed) - it pops just a little. My V2 has an SLR flash with the SAI still active. The V2 pops pretty bad and sometimes bangs (would rather have the SAI killed, but SLR does not kill the SAI). My Groms have the SAI removed and the flash kills the bike from trying to activate it.

Update: Some tuners will add a bit of fuel on decel to cool the pistons and prevent popping (and smooth out the decel depending on the bike and engine braking capabilities). The SAI negates this and the bike is better when the SAI is removed.

I found the other connector tucked up behind the frame. Taking is for a spin after to work to see if that resolved the issue.
