Lousy headlights

You must be keen riding at night around Grafton kramdrallim, don't you have any problems with roos down that way?
I nearly got cleaned up coming home from work a couple of weeks ago and I'm on the coast, I don't take the bike out at night at all if I can help it.

You mean to tell me you wrote a complaint letter to Ducati in hopes that they would do something for you or make some drastic change for the next model year v4? You realize you're riding a superbike, not a enduro or cruiser of some sort. If other manufacturers are making a better suited product for your needs, then go buy that. This isn't a defect for them to fix or whatever. It's just not as good as others out there. There's nothing for Ducati to do, not for you or anyone else. A functional headlight design is probably the very least of their concern. It is not gonna make or break them. I can safely say that at least 90% or more ducati superbike buyers do not buy it with headlights in mind. Just sell it n buy somethin that better suits your needs. Simple fix.

has anyone tried just changing the bulbs i take delivery tomorrow are the just a standard h4 . try upgrading to a silverstar or ultra or zxe bulb no more power drain. but larger fan and whiter light

No I didn't write a complaint to Ducati. The dealership sent an enquiry along the lines of a suggestion, that the low beam lens might be more effective whilst cornering at night if it had more refraction for peripheral light. Ducati has a sort of online communication avenue that the sellers can use , whereas an email from me, would most likely never be looked at. The Idea being, that , before they even think about upgrading the lights, they need to be made aware that there are shortcomings to the existing ones, and , on the remote chance that they do, as they did with two previous models (Diavel and Multistrada), someone like me may be able to fit the next generation lenses to my bike.It was one of the techs that came out to do the new model training course for the mechanics that suggested we exercise that route of enquiry. I still love the bike and I won't be selling it anytime soon.It is,after all, not the only one I have.

Yeah JonT , the roos are pretty thick down here, but after a while you start learning the territory of the various mobs and know where and when the greater chances of hitting one might be. There's certain sections of road where I like to follow a bit behind a tin top if possible, day or night.
