So just noticed that a small circular spot on my dash looks like it has melted, in the upper right quarter. It's the TFT material not the Perspex cover of the dash. It can't have been caused by sun and the screen (which is DP) as the bike hasn't been parked in the sun at all. Seems to have happened when I took the bike out for a short ride yesterday. Will post a pic later but has anyone else had this?? Starting to get fed up with these warranty issues!

first I've heard for that one. Any chance it could be someone being cute and putting a cigarette on it? Or other such vandalism. I don't know my tft getting warm at all.

Here is the pic. If you have had the same issue it would be good to see a pic as well.

Bet young buck that it's from a cig that someone flipped out of their car window and bounced off of you and landed there. Direct vandalism would have been more severe.

Also, have you been to the track recently? I've been burned on my neck from rubber flying off of a tire once. Could have had a molten marble land there as well

Yeah, it would difficult or unlucky something landing on the display/dash since it is surround..

Not exactly sure and I am confused as hell.

I had the exact same thing happen to mine.
Weird thing is it was in the same spot as yours.
Mine was maybe the size of a nickel.
It was replaced under warranty which was nice but now my miles are reset which I am not happy about.

Here is condensation I mentioned earlier. It was bigger but as it warmed up, the spot got smaller of course.

Is that dash made by Lightech? Ok, ok enough already...

If it was a cigarette butt I think I would expect to see some remnant of ash or burnt plastic on top. That really does look like something underneath is melting it.

The question we haven't asked is: can WAfatboy touch it and tell us if it is smooth or rough? That will determine internal or external source

Ah...just reread the OP...says it s not the cover. Weird.

Can you take a shot with the screen on?

My dash has the exact same 'burn' in the same place, its only just appeared in the last few miles! Its from inside the dash, thinking some sort of circuit has melted the screen

Oh wow.

I better keep my eye out.

I have the same thing but on the upper right. It is not the clear cover but rather underneath.
