Moderators

Despite the fact that the very idea kind of cuts across the grain for me..It appears that ( in the light of recent nonsense posting and perhaps some older posts that should/could have been controlled...) we are in need of some moderators who can exercise some common sense and delete or lock certain threads and block and delete spam from the forum...

I guess I am not only unsure if this is a case of " be careful what you wish for" but I am also unsure of how to garner opinions and pass it on to Duc who does seem oblivious to the damaging effects of all the detritus we have been gathering lately...

My idea is to simply +1 -1 this thread if you agree/disagree and I guess perhaps comment also either way... I really want to stress that in all honesty I abhor the very idea of any form of moderation..but this place has gotten so clogged with BS I cannot deny this any longer...

Other than the spam that he seems to have gotten control over, I think most of the other crap takes care of itself. I've gotten pretty good at not opening threads that don't appear to interest me, and not taking the ones I don't like personally.

But I respect your opinion and your right to ask others for theirs.

My opinion? The way to fix this place is for everyone to leave. I personally don't care where people go, but that would surely get the owner's/management's attention.

Lets be clear, in an attempt to find a solution last time there was a spam epidemic, and the forum owner it ignored it for ages, I set up a forum that would allow us a new place to 'congregate' as a group.

So no-one is talking about leaving the group, just walking over to the place across the road. This forum, and any forum is nothing without its members, and any good community should be moderated to avoid people like craigslist even gettin past his first few posts.

I have nothing to gain here other than offering an alternative place to gather without the inherent problems that occur here, and anyone and everyone can do what they please, as always absolutely your choice.
