Jello-
Be sure to tell Henri that I referred you personally since it may help you out a bit.

Spoke with him the other day and had a great chat together. He is a true gentleman.

Thanks!

1) Do you have a sense of the functional efficacy (e.g. ability to see things other than elbows while on the bike) of these mirrors?
2) How do the LEDs compare to stock? From looking at the photos these don't seem even half as bright..

Thanks!

Jello with the model I have you can see past the elbows. The led is not as bright as stock. I would say two thirds. I put lots of pics up when i first installed these with before and after shots.

They vibrate less and you can see out of them up to about 90 kph.

All about the shortys

Thanks, Brad, but the model I'm considering (#1) has significantly shorter stalks than the others, which is why I'm wondering how that affects the view. A perfectly still, non-vibrating view of my abdomen isn't all that helpful :)

As for the 2/3's brightness - do you feel it could go unnoticed? I really liked how bright the stock blinkers are. Do you have any regrets or concerns in this regard?

No
I think they are bright enough

I ride as if the drivers do not see me. I think they are cheap enough to take the gamble on whether you are happy with the brightness

What Mark said. Stock mirrors fold in or break off, protecting the nose of the bike from damage in a tip-over.
