Well unless the covid debacle gets out of hand (what could possibly go wrong) GP is around the corner. Who's going? We can all meet up and punch each other in the arm for annoying the .... out of each other on the board. I'm taking the wife as she is a big fan and well, I actually like my wife. I did get the VIP suite thing because she likes air conditioning and that woman can put away some alcohol. We had it in 2019, pretty nice set up.

Yeah. Me n my wife will be there too. Was her idea to celebrate our 10th anniversary there. Too bad they aren't doing a track day before or after the races, would've loved to ride that track.

October 1-3 correct?

WTF is the Ducati Package? I never heard of that...which sucks because it sounds tempting as hell.
I don't know. I think its got something to do with the Ducati island thingy and Ducati all day every day. I'd get beat up if I went in there LOL

Good deal. Being later in the year than it has been, I'm hoping for no rain. It rained like a bitch last GP on Saturday.

Hey fellas. There are a lot of articles speculating that the race will be canceled. If it’s not canceled, I’m down to meet up.

Canceled, what? I had the head honcho himself and his Disease Guru stand right there on national TV and said the vaccine was going to fix everything so what would it possibly get canceled?

It looks like there are articles speculating that the race will be canceled any day now and that there is at least one article saying otherwise. Fingers crossed that we get a definitive answer soon.

canceled for what reason?

“At present, the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin is still set to go ahead on 3 October.
“However, the COVID situation has reached a dire juncture Austin, with latest reports stating Austin has broken the record in the region for most patients in intensive care units with COVID-related illness.””

Bahahahaha, I guess they think we are all children, that we can’t handle the truth. They lied to us again. Their .... isn’t doing what they said it would plain and simple. The whole “get the vac and get back to normal” was a complete crock of .... (from a meta perspective” and they know it and this is just one more turd on their giant pile of .....

Regardless of your opinions on the global pandemic and the vaccine, the facts is that Austin is running critically low on ICU beds (see e.g.,Texas health officials warn of full ICUs as state grapples with worsening Covid-19 surge)

Why? We got the vaccine, why is anyone in an ICU bed? It’s not my ....... opinion at all. For some, the vac makes your symptoms less severe than non vac. Fine let’s just go with that. But what is obvious is that contradictory to what they said when everyone was get vaccinated is that you can still easily get Covid and easily transmit it after vaccination. That is now undisputed. They flat out lied to everybody. To everyone who chimed in on the subject pro and con, you can’t have it both ways
