MotoGP at COTA Who's going?

T15 for me and the missus as well...also an anniversary type trip...she's not so much into the bikes but has always wanted to see Austin

Gonna be a real tight squeeze to get to the airport in time not to mis the only Boston flight out on Sunday PM.

I've heard it could be up to 2 hrs getting out with traffic? Anyone with local knowledge have a suggestion?

-John

the first year we went, we camped between T1 and the Esses... so right after the race on Sunday we hopped in our rig and headed out up the hill, took a left and were basically out of there... however, if you're in one of the main lots, you might not be as lucky...

the year after we had VIP parking, but that doesn't get you out of there much quicker. our flight wasn't until Monday, so we didn't care

if you're in a squeeze, try to get seating somewhere around t11, leave 3 laps before the checkered flag and park closely. that exit will be your best chance.

Agree with Phl, the parking lot was the worst part, prob 45m to funnel our way out to the local highways. Once on those roads travel was not an issue.

Thx all...So based on this, are any of the lots any more likely than another to be easier to exit? F? H? J?

I'm assuming A and N are probably the worst.

My seats are T15

My tickets have parking...assuming I can choose any but the VIP lots?

Well unless the covid debacle gets out of hand (what could possibly go wrong) GP is around the corner. Who's going? We can all meet up and punch each other in the arm for annoying the .... out of each other on the board. I'm taking the wife as she is a big fan and well, I actually like my wife. I did get the VIP suite thing because she likes air conditioning and that woman can put away some alcohol. We had it in 2019, pretty nice set up.
I’ve done this GP 4 times now . The VIP is great . But I do like being able to walk around the track and view from different corners . Having the GP in October it should be slightly cooler then usual .

Quite a few DROC members are going (SoCal). Myself included. Most of us are at T15. Whole weekend. I am sure tshirts worn will pinpoint the Ducati owners haha. If so, say whats up.

I think they mail them closer to race weekend. I’m watching for mine too. I’m sitting in T15 as well, member of the Houston Desmo Owners Club but I live in Austin—lol-

The wife just told me to shut the hell up as they did this to me last time. I’m calling tomorrow anyhow.

So I called yesterday. They confirmed what you wrote. He confirmed my address and said the hospitality passes would be mailed out in a couple of weeks. I’m like “weeks” the races are in a couple of weeks. He said they would be delivered in time. Sounds like they are a bit behind possibly because all the uncertainty with the FU Flu.

FYI…just got notice my tickets are due to arrive to me this coming Friday. Apparently their ticket fulfillment agent printed them yesterday.

Guys, two in my group need to sell their tickets for the COTA MotoGP weekend, I just found out today. We are in turn 15, all three days, plus parking. He’s got about $260 in each ticket, need to sell two.

Anybody interested? I’m here in Austin local to the track. Just message me if interested. Thanks.
