I actually like it for for all the right reasons, I just don’t like the way they sprung it at the last minute and for the potential pain in the ass it may cause some people.

it finally addresses the only thing that matters. Do you have Covid or not? Screw the vax vs the unvax. Both those groups can get infected and pass it. That has been well established and this absolute exclusion of anything related to the vax finally solidifies that the self protection the vax may afford you is not anyone’s concern.

The only concern is if you can pass it on and that is well established in the verbiage and that’s exactly what matters. If the vax did ....... anything to mitigate contamination, they would have put a section in there that you needed to show vaccination in addition to the negative test but they didn’t cause it doesn’t.

conversely, going to the islands last week I can show a negative test before entering or show I’m vaccinated. Since I can be vaccinated and still test positive and therefore contaminate the islands that legislation has its head up its ass. ....... worthless mandate

VIP seat holders just lost access to the paddocks?! Wow! That essentially guts one of the best benefits to the VIP seats IMO.

We’ll I finally got these and I do have a paddock team pass which will be here tomorrow so maybe I’ll be ok

Really not surprised. These bozos really struggle to put on an event. I hope they have a compensation solution for those who don’t get what they paid for

@endodoc Did you get an email today about how the paddocks aren’t open to VIP guests? I’m trying to confirm what I heard.

2019 we had pit access to the areas behind the GP garages so we had access to the moto2, moto3 and the back of the GP garages. The front of the GP garages was a scheduled “pit walk”

nice to be the bearer of bad news huh? lmao, ill be going from thousand oaks, ca XD

I live in Austin. Our weather changes a LOT. It occurs because we are fairly close to the Gulf of Mexico and we get colder air from the NW coming down. So, sometimes the weather line is right north of us and never makes it to the area.

We are more humid than what you are probably used to but nothing like Houston, and more south. If we are in the 80's it will be fantastic. Even low 90's isn't bad.

Shorts with boots will be a popular choice. LOL

I'm just throwing this out there from my Misano MotoGP experience last race. It was like walking into a prison. The entire place was sectioned off with 15' tin walls making 26 different entrances. We were allowed to enter exactly the single entrance to our seat, sit, and that's it. Everyone had to pass 3 levels of idiots checking temperatures, covid tests and tickets with QR scanners. One chick couldn't get her scanner to work so she started, "Sorry I can't let you..." I think I clenched a fist and started grinding my teeth and her partner grabbed my paper and read it, and yelled, "IT SAYS PASSED, JUST GO IN!" There may have been a prison story here if it wasn't for the guy with 2 brain cells functioning.
There was exactly one food booth and 2 T-shirt tents. It was a little depressing though I'm still super glad I went and I had a good time despite all. There was still a sea of yellow and yellow smoke bombs and cheering all that same. Every other seat was empty, so by the end, everyone was in the front row hahaha. It USED to be a highly social event with sprawling lawns to roam on and all the gadget and accessory tents, fan and club tents and general hoodlums being hoodlums walking all the way around the track, especially in Vale's back yard. This year zero of that.
Going in groups with places to meet up is prolly a good idea for more fun. I don't know what else to tell you. Bring your own fun and plan to deal with otherwise unemployable idiots made gatekeepers.
I hope you guys have a blast and it's not so nazi in Austin. Texas will always be Texas & Austin is a little bit extra of whatever that is. <3

Good write up V. Hey, thanks to the WHO (world horror organization) and the rest of the shitbags that are driving this Titanic of an infrastructure, it’s a bit different now. A lot of the reason we’re going is psychological. Same reason we didn’t stop going to the Islands or staying away from any other things in our routine. I’m not letting the talking heads sit me in a corner with a dunce cap on my head while they take notes on the effectiveness of their social conformity experiment.

For the most part, In our routine, we have not experienced what is reflected in the media with respect to doom and gloom so I’m more optimistic. Most places with the exception of the dead brain people running custom interfaces have been normal.
