If it did, I would bring it up to the manufacturer of the exhaust. If it damages your faring, they should stand behind it. AR provides tape to help prevent it.

thats pretty funny cause i got pc for my gsxr 600 and it arrived doa when i got it hooked to the bike it wouldnt even start. they sent out a replacement before they received my bad one. so i guess so far good luck. "a-krap-ovic" as you call is one of the best exhaust manufactures i doubt if you got a defective exhaust they wouldnt replace it. for the melting fairing it pretty much that spring hook on the pipe causing it if you look at ak pics of the exhaust you see they used a weld there and moved that farther down the pipe. i love my 1199 but to call ak "a-krap-ovic" when you ride a bike thats melts it's own fairings stock you have a very skewed sense of quality.

That was a joke, LOL. I wasn't talking about the warranty of the power commander. I'm taking about what it alters on your BIKE. Reading comprehension, try it.

there is your whole quote "The power commander is also changing things, if anything goes wrong related to it, it's not covered" not related to it the power commander has to be a direct cause to void a warranty claim. If look at almost every bike forums from aprilla to triumph i have never seen a single post with power commander messed up my bike. also since they are piggy back systems once removed there is no evidence it was there so you could just remove it and take your bike to the dealer pretty shady but you could.

"If your akrapovic can starts melting your fairing, the dealer will be laughing at you in their heads as they start the clock." your fairing is melt at the spring hook im sure if you look at akrapovic they used a weld there and moved the spring farther down the pipe. but just say it melts your fairing like the stock and termi that are supplied from ducati. they would have pretty hard time arguing that it was the ak exhaust fault since the fix is changes on the fairing spacer and not the stock or termi set up. there is no way to prove it wouldnt have happened with stock or termi since it has and still is. i think every knows its an issue to begin with so if you change pipes and dont put on heat tape in that area i think you should just wear your helmet all the time.

Yeah, because forums always mimic 100% what a company will tell you when it comes to a warranty claim. Anyway enjoy wasting your money, give yourself a pat on the back when you get to Starbucks to show everyone how much you spent on an exhaust for your 195hp bike that wasn't powerful enough.

not everyone chooses to "waste" money the same way you do deal with it.

A) Akrapovic engineers their product quite well and I believe that if they made a mistake in engineering they would cover the repair cost. They have a good track record of making things right when things have gone wrong. More so than most.

B) Ducati doesn't even cover melted fairings (depending upon how/what/when/where). Read all the threads on the forums - so this isn't something thats a given even with the manufacturers own exhaust.

C) Are you awere that Termi is NOT Ducati ? Termignoni is an entirely separate company from Ducati and while they work quite closely together, they are not one. You can actually get "termi's" for BMW, Aprilias, etc, etc.

D) And when did cost ever factor into this ? If you're talking riding ability - are you even worthy of going beyond the base 1199 ? Then again, are you better than even an 848 ? If you're using ability, I'm fairly certain you're over your own ability with the bike you have. . .

It's a factory approved accessory. Half of the products on the bike aren't made by Ducati.
