Whitpani. I'm not the one to throw names at. So like it said, let's get back to the bikes. If the company didn't file the paperwork, that's on them. Everyone is playing with the same rules.

When government is prohibiting the sale of motorcycle over ........ that is motorcycle talk or are you a little slow??

Believe me bro, in case there is a Pani meet and we all get together, you don't want to be so blatantly disrespectful to Leon. People may talk smack like that to each other in NJ, but not down here. Just to be clear, Leon would simply .... YOU UP in real life.

Tell you what, I rather would live in California than the Ghetto of New York (NJ). Spent a lot of time in Clifton area. Thankful they moved corporate out of NJ to Indiana :D You guys really need to get you own football team and quit borrowing the NY Jets and NY Giants.

For the backwards state of Louisiana man what can I say about that state every time I go there it feels like I went backwards in a time machine and everyones seems to be related. Swamp fever.

You guys are just jealous for the fine weather and beautiful girls we have here.:p

Yeah"¦ok Chester (Jeff)"¦.

More like Spike and Spike. Come on over to Jennings GP and we'll have ourselves a testosterone party with your wannabe-hero cop self. Not too far from where you are in Nawlins.

I'm having fun. Beats focusing on work. I love California. Don't like the politics but damn there are so many beautiful places in one state. From La Jolla to Malibu to Marin County, there are just so many two-wheel playgrounds for it to be completely hated on. Ignorance is bliss, people just don't know what they're missing.

ha, but then you have places like Bakersfield and Modesto................:D

Lived in Mtn. View Palo Alto Sunnyvale for a few years. Wonderful state (the northern half anyway) but too many people.

Jennings, Barber, PBIR or Homestead. I need more 1199 out there. I'm still waiting for Jeff to stop stacking all that money and come hang with the boys.

Blasphemy! Modesto is the where King Kenny is from!

Haha, yes there are desolate places but offset by the number of unreal places, like Big Bear Lake and Redwood National Park. If I did have to pick, Northern CA would definitely be the choice.

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. I often have to travel to the valley for work, and I find few places more eternally depressing than Mountain View. And that ....... 101... ugh!

riding thru the santa cruz mtns will take your mind off silicon valley I guarantee!

Mystery solved?

MV Agusta Explains Loss of California License » Motorcycle.com News

By Evans Brasfield May 22, 2014 0
Earlier this month, the Occupational Licensing division of the California Department of Motor Vehicles caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the motorcycle world when the agency's monthly newsletter announced that MV Agusta had lost its license to sell motorcycles in the state of California. This is not the sort of announcement you'd expect about a well-known, premium brand of motorcycle.

The ruling essentially forbids any of MV's dealers from selling any new motorcycles. They can sell used ones, but the 2014 model year is strictly off-limits, for now. Since we are entering the meat of the riding season, we reached out to MV Agusta for a response. What we learned is that the company mistakenly left out some of the forms required to renew its license. According to Rob Keith, Managing Director for MV Agusta USA, the trouble is "a paperwork issue we are resolving as we speak. Nothing sinister or having anything to do with our bikes. Strictly paperwork."

With that good news, our next concern was, obviously, how long will it take for the restriction to be lifted, given the glacial pace at which government offices can work. The estimate is that it may only take couple of weeks to resolve.

So, California MV Agusta fans who are planning on purchasing a shiny, new Italian dream machine will just have to dream a little longer. We'll update you as we learn more.

selling several to 10 bikes a week I think whoever made that mistake costed the company, say couple hundred grand at the most? and given that those buyers will simply buy the same bike at a later date when the ban ends, a lower amount seems more realistic, no?. Another real loss would be the time value of money and logistic storage losses at the end. So not so bad, and the media announcing the ban makes these bikes more desirable altogether. A little free advertising adding to the mystique of MV who rattled the cages of the CA DOT/DMV
