well, had the tank off and discovered this:

so i went there:

put it in:

and whoop whoop - smooth running at low rpms and really good sounding.
even seems to pull a little bit better.

install with tank off and back on was about 15 min.

Gunny, please send a Mossburg 590 with pistol grip and heat shield, and a S&W 1911 Compact with wood grips.
 
The only other thing missing is liquor and dancers for complete one stop shopping!:D

yeah post up a quick and easy how to since my MWR should be coming this week. Nice to know the stock air filter still sucks. My old 1198....when I changed to an aftermarket filter....the airbox was FULL I mean FULL of dirt, sand, everything. The aftermarket filter, despite being more porous kept it 100x cleaner since it actually sealed the airbox unlike the stock.
 
how do you take the tank off without having the gas come out. i know someone said to me once how to do it but i didnt understand what he ment.
 
It has a quick connector. Will just lose a drip. Easy peasy. Push the knob and pull the house.

does the filter work without any specific tuning / mapping? Where can I get one in Australia....need it for next Wednesday, anyone cant find anywhere online?
