Just ride it, decorations come later. Spend the money on training, it will be the best bike investment you'll ever make.

to me, there’s no point buying the Italian work of art without quickly fitting the preferred accessories and powder coating some components

I agree there’s no point in buying a Panigale without investing in proper training and riding gear

but if you’re like most ppl here and just buy it to place it on display and look at for hours on end before bed... and you had enough $$$ to buy the bike instead of a couple posters, it’s a MUST to mod it over the next few months and then have photo shoot days. Take those images print them real huge for around the house
Then park it in the great room, add some accent lighting to the ceiling and get the soft indoor cover so “my wife’s cooking doesn’t get all over it”

you should have seen her face the first time she saw me renewing my oil in the living room. Jk, she was helpful.

Im gonna do Clear clutch cover and a bunch of carbon fiber right away. Im most likely gonna do full akrapovic within the first month.
order some wings, come on man

Didnt even know they had wings for the v2 lol. I like how clean the bike looks as is. Ive been watching a ton of vids this morning of the akra full exhaust. It sounds amazing. I think i have to do that asap.

Akra cans and a real tune & flash

the official Ducati Performance/Akra upmap are weak

my 1299 is all hopped up with the Akra and a tune and it sure doesrun. This is my bike:

I think you should buy some torque wrenches, sockets, blue & red thread locker and a light and maybe a lift.
Sure it’s a lot of up front spending but once you install the exhaust and air filter yourself, you will have already covered the costs of the tools by not giving it to the workshop.
These bikes are made for the race track, they are kinda similar to an remote controlled car with a body that pops off with 4 pins.

or just take it to the experts at the official Duc service center and be done with it. But seriously check those brake fluid reservoirs,
Everyone’s gets toasted and ready for renewal with quality fluid by the 100 miles mark

Instead of good luck, in Italy we say, "En boca al lupo." It's kind of a "break-a-leg" wish. It means, "in the mouth of the wolf," because anywhere else is better, your next move is just escape through the cracks.
There is really a lot of particulars about Ducati V2's especially this one! So as a first bike, you'll just think all that is normal. A lot of peeps that are used to loose easy Japanese bikes don't like the feel as it's aggressive and full of torque. It's all in the wrist as they say.
Where are you in Or? I grew up in Portland. Such a good place.

Save the eye candy for later. Def need a few changes though

I want to write a book someday, "What I learned in the saddle," or some other cheesy title, but you guys know what I mean. Holy cow, I learn about myself, physics, nature, human instinct, material science, what women really want, design & engineering, always a new perspective on life, how to spell tyres in British. I'm just kidding I have no idea what women really want.

Ride it like you stole it and, if someone steals it from you, go and steal it right back... (did I actually just say that?)

Sounds like a best seller if you can figure the women part out ;)

Yes im gonna need some tools for this bike. I'm gonna install all the carbon fiber myself. I ordered pretty much every carbon piece you can get for the V2 from motomillions. I got the NRC tail tidy, throttle spacers and heat shield from ducatispacers, ducabike clear clutch cover with black pressure plate and red retainer, and sato frame sliders. Whats the ballpark you think for ducati installing the full akra? When you get the full system it comes with an upmap and filter right?

I don’t think cost is going to be the issue there

Finding a dealer that will do it might be tho...

*great choice of bike and exhaust tho

Enjoy : )

You can and they do

They will definitely sell it to you

You might have a hard time getting them to install it tho...

They wanted a G to install my “slipon” onto my PV4. They were right it doesn’t just slip on but it’s not a 10 hour job

make sure you get radiator guards. It’ll be a good time to fit them while you reassemble the bike after fitting yer exhaust

Congrats man! I’m loving the s**t out of my V2.

@V2 monster: I had a CBR500R when they first came out. Looked good but too vanilla. Great commuter though, put 14,000 miles on it.

so when i called them to ask them if they had the full akra in stock they had 2 and asked if i wanted to get transfered to the service dept to ask how much install is. I just wanted to see how much it would cost to buy and was in a hurry so i never talked to service dept. If they wont install, ill get it installed at a local shop called EDR Performance.

I got quoted 5.5 hours for the install for my full akra on my V2 and 3 hours for the slip on @ $130/hr.
