My First Bike - Panigale V2

I would never recommend the V2 as a first SPORT bike. One main reason is the characteristics of super sports that make them great in experienced hands; make them deadly in those with little to no experience. Even if you’re a grown ... man, the road doesn’t care. Traffic doesn’t care. Drivers don’t care.

Even if you’re vigilant and have good habits on the grom, the V2 is a whole different animal and won’t be as forgiving.
All of that aside…. It would be a whole lot cheaper to learn on a smaller displacement used Ducati as a first bike. Something older and without the electronic nanny settings so that you learn what upsets a bigger bike.

Speaking of which. Not only am I not bringing the Power 5’s this weekend, I’m skipping the v-twin as well. Need more experience. It’s the RSV4 for at least another ten track days.

Im sure the power 5 are fine tires in the right hands but for me I could not get them working. The front was ok-ish but the back was sliding and spinning the whole time and in the pits the tire was almost unbearably hot to touch but no stickiness. They might be good in the wet though.
