Hmmm..... A little excessive I think..... The biggest issue is that law enforcement doesn't care ..they are busy catching speeders and writing tickets...as this equals revenue..recovering stolen property and prosecuting thieves does not..

That bike is not coming until 2016 and based on what I heard it is not going to be dramatic changes. Will probably be a bunch of the HP4 tech on the S1000RR.

Yes, I was thinking along the same lines. I am sure my carbon is already gone! My poor baby...feels like she is going to be raped and there is nothing I can do to stop it! So very sad!

Thanks all for the wishes...it is a very sad day for me! So much so that I haven't slept yet since this happened yesterday at 6 pm.

My 1098s was stolen 4 years ago from my condo garage in Mississauga..
The security camera was always pointed at my parking spot so I thought "what theives could be stupid enough to steal with a camera pointed at them..."
Sure enough a red van pulls up and two huge football player built ..... walk out and take it away... Insurance got me a new 1198s
I moved out of the condo and went to a nicer area, west, in a house
So far so good ... Also have the ride GPS alarm on all my bikes now...
Throw a post on GTA motorcycle forum in their " stolen bikes section"

Tell me about this RIDE GPS alarm. (But part of me wonders if I want the bike back). But I guess I can't keep counting on insurance to bail me out. Eventually they will cut me off.

Keep your eyes on EBAY, what they do usually strip the bike down and part it out on ebay.

RIDE alarm: YOu pay $12 a month for the monitoring of your bike and you always know where it is by looking at the app on your phone or computer.
If your bike gets stolen you press a key on the app that sends the tracking to the police ( OPP, or federal division)
You get "push texts if anyone tried to move the bike or meddled with the ignition , etc, etc)

mine came in last week dealer called me said can we push you back a little bit we need this one i said no problem. if you must know i just got a new car so i have no problem waiting for the hp4. i have a panigale and a ninja so this is just something to have.
im in no rush to get it would like to get the last one if that is possible.

How would you know this????
That is what the car thief's did with my car. Recognized the stereo system called the cops and they bought the items and when they showed up to pay the thief's got arrested. Cars was striped and was a total loss but insurance paid for it. But long story short the Detective told me that is what most of these small time thief's do with bikes and cars. Just figured I would pass along some info.

I wouldn't use this device to help me get my bike back as like many have said you don't know the state of it/how the thieving bastards have treated 'her'. I think I would use this as a tool just to help me find them so I could put my foot firmly in his ass
Sorry to hear about your bike and I really hope the scum that took 'her' get what's coming to them
