New 1299SL pics from Italy. Mechanical. Sorry no rim strips, blinkers or mirrors.

The 1199 SL didn't have a mag swingarm, it was aluminum. You can believe me, I'm their former product manager so I know what I'm talking about with these bikes.

well, then you should have project managed one :p vs this cf nonsense.. and the paintjob of the 1199sl with its more elegant stripes should have been retained.

(the gold wheels confused me as did the frame, which, i believe was in fact magnesium on the 1199sl, right?)

bike looks good, but shouldn't that silver stripe on the tank have continued into a tapering line on the bodywork to better tie the motif in?

How about this subtle change to your design. Edge of red stripe is now parallel with grey stripe.

nice, and yours matches perhaps more, but i prefer my taper version, which is prob me subconsciously preferring the more elegant 1199sl tapers.

i am not in love with this 1299sl.......prefer the more aesthetically pleasing predecessor. ..

I'm the idiot? I'm not the one trolling a forum who doesn't even own a panigale and even worse, spreading false info about something you clearly don't know enough about. Your opinionated and .... stirrin approach to a lot of topics is ...... annoying and if you think people spend their money on cars and bikes from an investment perspective, then you're the idiot. These aren't classics for them to be considered an investment.

I like change, who ant the same as last year ( not like I'm buying 1). I do agree the scheme could have been better, oh well. It would really look sick just that base color. Lets be honest this bike was created to fund the 2018 replacement............lol just kidding.

like everyone with an opinion....& i immediately owned my mistake, which isn't quite trolling... ur an idiot.

maybe u should find a forum sans ".... stirring" where u can opine with like-minded snowflakes in ur safe space.

ps i did not speculate as to the collectability of this iteration sl, nor it's future classic prospects; what i was intimating was that given the extreme premium atop the 1199sl premium and how the latter depreciated quite rapidly, the nature of your inane comment pertains more to the prospective owner of this thing, with its gargantuan "cf" swingarm liability LOL

I personally would like to see bigger and wider fuel tank ... also wider fairings by an inch at least.

I can see that a lot of things probably confuse you.

We tried to color code it for guys like you (gold parts = magnesium), but apparently that wasn't clear enough. Perhaps we should have taken the approach of that new Brough Superior and written "aluminum" on the swingarm. Maybe next time.

I happen to share your opinion that the 1199 SL looks better. I think the graphics that I originally wanted for that bike were the best of all. But proDUCT managers don't always (or often, at Ducati) get their way.

You should stop referring to the swingarm as "cf" as if it's not, though. That's not an opinion or personal taste like graphics. It's just...stupid. ;)

I have a feeling the livery would look a lot like an Anniversario. Best looking color combo to date with perfect proportions imho.

Hey so why aren't my gold wheels mag?! ;):D

Agreed. I don't want magnesium wheels for the street. Having them constantly magnafluxed gets tedious.

hey, i made a mistake on the swingarm and admitted as such - you can try to rub it in all you want and split hairs with me & i can reciprocate and remind you yet again that it's not a pure cf swingarm, but has aluminum in it so maybe "in the reasonable future" it'll be pure cf, though that version will be even less reliable over time.... maybe like Brough Superior you can suggest to D to write "aluminum" in all of the places where it's used on that disproportionately large (ie ugly) "cf" swingarm.

and the paint scheme is weak at best, and that's a smart observation if i may say so.

better luck next time.

wait, your gold wheels aren't mag? tell that ex-dukati catso to write on them magnesium like Brough Superior. LOL

So are Rotobox, BST, and Dymag wheels not purely carbon fiber because the hub is aluminum and they have steel wires running along each side of the rim?

why every time somebody make a post about this overrated panigale somebody want to start a fight just because you don't like what the other guy said. STOP being the ....... forum police. If you want to said that this is a piece of .... bike this is your own opinion, stop calling people idiot or troll just because you feel that any negative comment about this bike is a direct insult to you, unless you OWN DUCATI as a company not the bike SHUT UP!!! and let people express how they feel about the bike.

I still think the bike is overprices. 80k and still have $2500 ohlins R/T ?? the desmo came with gas FG ohlins for less.
