It's happening! Two (for me) very exciting products, in testing atm, launching imminently!

1. Start stop switch incorporating a tilt sensor.

2. ABS delete dongle.

Will share the info when given the green light, but they're in final development, and hopefully I should have both to test end of this month 😬

Ive rang Jetprime and told them not to waste their research and development let alone the costs. After all, you can just disconnect.or remove the ABS unit on a V4.......no need for any fancy dongles!;)

Hmm…would you mind sharing who is doing the ABS delete? That topic is very critical as the ABS does much more than just braking. There are multiple real time calculations going on in there that for the example the BBS is using for DTC and DWC. If those are not done correctly there is a huge risk of these systems functioning incorrectly. That is the reasons why not even where well established and capable companies like Bikesportdevelopments have not and will not offer an ABS delete.

Daniel, is this a concern if just the lines are replaced and the pump is bypassed but left in place?

from the JP 959 abs delete page, so its out there!

The 1199/899/959 ABS elimination is quite easy because all it needs to do is read the front and rear speed sensors and broadcast the info on the CAN bus. These eliminators exist for years already.

Later model Ducati Superbikes have IMU sensors and here the ABS is responsible for also calculating IMU sensor signals and providing them to other modules like the BBS that handles DTC, DWC etc.

The ABS also has some more features that are required like for models with electronic suspension. All in all this it is not an easy task to 100% replicate the functionality of the ABS in the whole electronic system. Otherwise it would have been done years ago.

Ok now about the kill switch… how do you deal with the increased susceptibility of the bike being stolen?

I had that on my 1199 when I had it added with Tuneboy. A very worthwhile feature.

I did read that others had that on the 1199s and I was hoping it would work for the V4 but when I had my previous V4 about a year ago now the Tuneboy did not support the V4 for the Cruise feature. I haven't done much searching yet for alternatives but I will soon.
